Courier Operations Manager - Newton Abbot (TQ12)

• £35,189 per annum
• 40 Hours per week
• Working 5 days on a rota basis between Monday-Saturday

What you'll be doing

Leading a dynamic team made up of Team managers, Administrators, Warehouse Operatives and Drivers is no mean feat. You'll have a huge impact on the smooth running, planning and performance of our entire service centre.

Our service centres sort millions of parcels a week. They're bustling hives of activity that are absolutely crucial to our business. Whether loading, scanning or driving, every single person has a vital part to play. And as Courier Operations Manager, they'll look to you for inspiration, support and guidance - and when things get hectic, hands-on help too.

As every resource, every route and every customer relies on logistics you'll take responsibility for all these areas as part of our service centre management team. This gives your role a huge amount of variety, allowing you to get involved with everything from shift handovers, performance management, recruitment and training, to health and safety, HR issues, delivery projections and planning to meet demand.

What you need to show us

This is a perfect opportunity for someone highly organised, able to build relationships with all sorts of people, and experienced in distribution and logistics.

Experience in a similar leadership role is crucial but we're every bit as interested in your ability to use your initiative to improve processes, think on your feet, lead from the front and get the best out of those around you.

Employed Driver - Newton Abbot and Surrounding areas (TQ12)

• £11.44 ph
• 08:00 - 17:30
• 45 Hours per Week
• Working 5 out of 7 days on a 3 week rota basis
• Sunday working when required (Peak periods) - 4 weeks' notice given if working a Sunday.
• 1 Full weekend off every 3 weeks
• 6 mointh contract with a view of being made permanent.

What you'll be doing

Our drivers do more than deliver parcels, they brighten people's days all over the UK, week in, week out. As part of our team, you'll work on a rota across four to five days. Each day, you'll load up your van with fresh parcels before delivering them across a dedicated postcode.

You'll make sure that every parcel, and your 3.5-tonne van, is kept in perfect condition. And as you'll be out there, meeting and talking to our customers, we'll rely on you to be the friendly face of the business. Always friendly and always smiling.

When you start, we'll give you a solid induction to get you up to speed on how we do things and we'll be right behind you, offering support whenever you need it
