Winner Education are working closely with a school in South Birmingham in assisting them with the recruitment of a School Attendance Officer. The role is full time, up to 37.5 hours a week. You will be required to start immediately on a long term placement with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Day to day attendance monitoring
• Updating student records
• Previous experience using SIMS software system
• Answer telephone and face to face enquiries
• Maintain accurate pupil attendance records
• Provide administrative support as and when required
• Provide cover on main school reception as and when required
• Present data to senior leaders

The Successful School Attendance Officer will:

• Need to be highly organised
• Have excellent interpersonal skills
• Have previous school attendance/administration experience
• Be highly motivated, professional and forward thinking
• Have proficient computer skills including experience with SIMS
• Demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills
• Be able to form positive relationships with all staff and parents
• Require knowledge of school attendance procedures

The role is full time, up to 37 hours a week 8am-4pm however the school are open to reduced part time hours. This will be to start as soon as possible and will be a temporary position but with the opportunity to turn into a permanent position for the right candidate. You will be required to have a valid and current DBS on the update service.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support with a busy school office area
• Provide general admin duties
• Maintain records of visitors and their compliance
• Update management information system
• Process visitor ID checks
• Postal duties
• Answer telephone and face to face enquiries
• Diary management

• Processing invoices
• Dealing with invoice queries
• Checking/receipting deliveries
• Preparing payment runs
• Processing petty cash claims
• Dealing with ParentPay transactions/reconciling statements

• General finance and admin duties, including supporting with reception when required

The Successful School Administrator will:
