At The Myton Hospices, we provide specialist care and support for people with life-limiting illnesses, and their loved ones, from the point of diagnosis to end of life. We are a much-loved and well supported charity, at the heart of our community. We have three hospices, a range of community services, and 25 charity shops in Coventry and Warwickshire.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Matron within our Adult Inpatient Unit Services and our Myton at Home Service, due to a recent re-structure of our clinical teams.

As our Matron, you will provide operational management and clinical leadership for our medical-led and nurse-led inpatient beds and a caseload of community patients receiving care and support in their own homes during their last weeks of life.

This will include:

- Providing professional, effective, accountable and inclusive leadership
- Line managing the Service Leads/Managers
- Being our Infection Prevention and Control Lead
- Being accountable for the delivery of optimum quality care in these services
- Being visible and accessible to staff, patients and their families

This role will support our work by creating effective teams in these services, so that they can overcome barriers and deliver excellent patient care which is responsive to patients’ and families’ needs.

It will be based in Coventry but working across our three hospice sites in Coventry, Warwick and Rugby.

We are seeking a Registered Nurse with:

- Current NMC PIN
- A teaching, mentoring or coaching qualification
- Senior-level clinical experience including leadership and change management
- A history of successful problem solving and budget/resource management
- Skills in influencing, negotiation, time management, IT, and motivating others
- Ability to handle sensitive situations and provide both professional and emotional support
- Evidence of / awareness of own professional development

You must be able to travel to Coventry, Rugby and Warwick.

This role will involve an enhanced DBS check including the adults’ barred list, because you will be carrying out regulated activity with adults as part of the senior nurse on-call rota. We will cover the cost of this check.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a motivated, dynamic retailer to take over management of one of our charity shops in Coventry city centre.

As Shop Manager, you’ll be responsible for the smooth running of a profitable charity shop, providing a brilliant shopping experience and acting as Myton’s face in the local community.

Our Shop Managers:

- Lead and recruit volunteers
- Design the shop layout and enticing window displays
- Generate high-quality stock donations
- Undertake administration
- Handle cash, stock deliveries and collections
- Maximise sales through Gift Aid and our Weekly Lottery

To be one of our Charity Shop Managers, you'll need:

- Retail experience
- Experience of leading a team of volunteers
- Confidence in calculating figures and working with financial targets

You might have previous experience as a Store Manager or Retail Manager, or in Charity Retail.

We are a charity and each year we need to raise £11 million of the £14.3 million we need to support the people of Coventry and Warwickshire.

Join our Community Fundraising team in the exciting new position of Community Fundraising Manager. You’ll play a pivotal role in managing and delivering a diverse portfolio of fundraising initiatives and ensuring that Myton is at the heart of the community within Coventry and Warwickshire.

As Community Fundraising Manager, your day to day work will include:

- Developing a mix of fundraising activities for workplaces, schools, support groups, etc.
- Working with the Marketing team to design and deliver impactful campaigns for these initiatives
- Coaching, leading, motivating and supporting the Community Fundraising team
- Achieving targets, producing reports and identifying areas of opportunity and development
- Building and managing effective relationships with fundraising partners
- Ensuring high standards of donor and supporter care
- Ensuring that community fundraising data is accurate and up to date

As our Community Fundraising Manager will be expected to attend our own and third parties’ fundraising and networking events, the role will involve some evening and weekend working.

To be our Community Fundraising Manager, you will need experience of:

- Community fundraising
- Leadership and managing people
- Presenting to and communicating with a variety of audiences, including sales & negotiation
- Setting and monitoring budgets

You will need skills in:

As this role requires some travel, you must have a UK driving licence and a vehicle you can use for work, or other reasonable means of travelling within Coventry and Warwickshire.
