We are looking to appoint a full-time enthusiastic and dynamic School Network Manager to lead a team of three technicians responsible for managing and maintaining the school’s IT infrastructure, ensuring that our digital assets are safeguarded and that the systems remain secure, efficient and reliable. As part of the role the successful candidate will also support in the development and innovation of the school’s network, IT systems and devices.

• Team Leadership: Line manage the Viking premises team to ensure service excellence, encouraging a positive and collaborative work environment.

An experienced and professional Finance Manager and Payroll Officer is sought for this role in our centralised team, working across our Trust.

Candidates should have a relevant finance qualification with an understanding of financial systems and procedures to ensure accounting systems are accurate and complete, manage the in-house payroll service and support the CFO in ensuring the Trust is compliant with the Academy's Trust Handbook.

Experience of managing a team in order to deliver an outstanding service to all our schools will be required.

THE TRUST

Barton Court Academy Trust (BCAT) is a multi-academy Trust which was established in 2017.

It currently consists of three secondary schools: Barton Court Grammar School, an 11-18 years, mixed selective school in the heart of Canterbury, rated “Good” with many outstanding features by Ofsted in February 2020; The Charles Dickens School, an 11-16 years mixed non-selective school in Broadstairs, rated “Good” by Ofsted in March 2023 and Barton Manor Free School, an 11–18 years non-selective mixed school in the heart of Canterbury which opened to Year 7 in September 2022 and as the school grows now has Y7, 8 and 9 from September 2024.

What the school offers its staff

Being part of Leigh Academies Trust:As of 1st September2024, our Trust comprises 33geographically organised academies (17secondaries, 14 primaries and 2 special) educating more than 24,000 students and employing 4,000 talented staff.Currently, 14 of our academies are considered to be “Outstanding” which is nearly 50% of those which have been inspected whilst part of the Trust.The Trust is establishing three ‘clusters’ of academies: LAT West; LAT Central; LAT North.
