Incumbents typical work assignments may include the following:

• Planning, coordinating, integrating, and managing, of the resource related functions of assigned divisions and/or directorates.
• Ensures internal administrative controls have been established and are operating as intended to provide reasonable assurance that government resources are protected against fraud.
• Overall responsibilities for the total spectrum of programming, planning, appropriations management, and budgeting functions of the complex PFPA programs for all appropriations.
• Develops and submits of the POM for assigned divisions to the PFPA Financial Management Office.
• Provide decision support and analysis to support the budget.
• Analyzes trends in fund utilization and prepares periodic command cost and performance reports to compare actual with forecasts.
• Prioritizes and distributes funding within controls among assigned divisions.

Incumbent typical work assignments may include the following:

• Develops and implements strategic communication plans to support PFPA initiatives and objectives.
• The incumbent drafts speeches and talking points for PFPA Senior Executives and DoD senior officials.
• Assigns special assignments and project to subordinates and ensure work is accomplished in a timely manner and meets the overall intent.
• Manages the policies, development, execution, and maintenance of the agency's three websites (internet, intranet, and extranet) with respect to disseminating information within PFPA and to local law enforcement organizations, security agencies, Military Departments, and the general public.
• Attends workshops, webinars, and courses to stay updated on the latest communication tools and techniques.

Incumbent typical work assignments may include the following:

• Identifies, assesses, manages, and monitors the risks to PFPA strategic missions.
• The incumbent analyzes conflicting and divergent viewpoints in order to provide full and accurate background information to the Assistant Director for the Office of Mission Assurance, along with options for courses of action.
• Analyzes critical infrastructure consequence and probability resulting from critical asset data gathered during mission assurance assessments and develops risk reduction plans to reduce assessed risk through corrective actions designed to mitigate potential consequences.
• Develops strategic-level risk management strategies and provides mitigation options.
• Analyzes and advises on National Security Strategy, concepts, and activities.

Incumbent typical work assignments may include the following:

The employee is responsible for the assessment, evaluation, and reporting on PFPA programs.
The employee also coordinates workshops, working-groups, off-site planning conferences, and facilitates PFPA directorates on a routine basis to continuously improve and update reporting processes.
The employee is the lead facilitator in the reporting effort, management of agency priorities, programs, and key projects for mission essential and critical areas as directed by the Director, PAD and PFPA senior leadership.
Advises and assists Director, PAD and PFPA leadership in formulating, directing, implementing, and evaluating the development of the strategic direction for resources supporting security, law enforcement, and force protection functions under the purview of the Director, PFPA.

Incumbent typical work assignments may include the following:

• The employee directs, coordinates, and executes threat working groups, intelligence sharing, planning, and coordinating a variety of security programs designed to meet multiple security objectives.
• Directs, coordinates, manages, and evaluates the High-Risk Personnel, including risk/ vulnerability assessments.
• The employee is responsible for the overarching AT plan and monitors the execution of all related functions and actions related to operational planning.
• Conducts the risk assessment process for the Pentagon Reservation, providing the PFPA Director with a method that assists in making resource allocation decisions designed to protect people and assets from possible terrorist threats in a resource-constrained environment.
• Reviews funding requirements for ATFP programs and provides justification for applying ATFP resources in accordance with broad DoD force protection guidelines.
• The employee develops technically complex and sensitive force protection documents and briefings for presentation to senior government officials and members of industry at meetings, symposiums, and conferences.

Positions are located at the Pentagon (Arlington, VA) in the Pentagon Police Division; the Herbert R. Temple Jr. Army National Guard Readiness Center (Arlington, VA), and Mark Center (Alexandria, VA) in the National Capital Region Division; and Raven Rock Mountain Complex (Adams County, PA), which is part of the Pentagon Reservation and falls under the responsibility of PFPA.

Incumbents typical work assignments may include the following:

• Enforce local, state, and Federal laws and regulations; and enforce DoD policies and regulations relating to law enforcement and security.
• Physically protect designated facilities (buildings and grounds), employees, visitors, and staff from threats of crime and disruption; preserves law and order; and serves as a deterrent to crime and other violations of law, rules, and regulations.
• Perform protective services, security, and access control for the Pentagon and other buildings in the National Capital Region occupied by PFPA employees, government equipment, and property.
• Make arrests, prepare reports and testify in court.
• Interact with legal counsel and coordinate with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies.
