The post-holders will be expected to cross-cover essential services, with appropriate support and supervision provided by consultants and / or senior speciality doctor colleagues. We are one anaesthetics department covering two hospital sites. Clinical sessions will be allocated on both sites in the Trust and will be partly dictated by clinical need.

Clinical Safety Navigators are responsible for the oversight and management of safety and risk to our patients within our Emergency Operations Centres. A key part of the role is to maintain oversight of the Trusts awaiting incidents, with the capability of managing EOC clinical resources to provide clinical safety assurance and risk mitigation to our patients. An exciting opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic Consultant Medical Microbiologist or Consultant in Infectious Diseases/ Microbiology to join North Midlands and Cheshire Pathology Service (NMCPS). The appointees will be part of a team of four Consultant Microbiologists and three Infectious Disease Consultants at Royal Stoke University Hospital (University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust) and a Consultant Microbiologists based at Mid Cheshire NHS Foundation Trust who collectively provide a comprehensive clinical Microbiology / ID service to the Trusts served by the NMCPS. The post is a substantive; full time (up to 11.5 PA) replacement post based at the Royal Stoke University Hospital (RSUH) site. Whilst the post is offered on a full-time basis the Trust would welcome discussion with individuals looking for a more flexible working pattern to support a different work life balance.

Finance Responsible for achieving the best impact from well-managed finances by: o ensuring the accuracy of any submissions required by the ICB/other authorities to claim all funding entitlement and to ensure that all monies due are received promptly o reviewing and approving operational services spend, monitoring income and expenditure and identifying and reporting to the CD and Network Board any significant deviations from forecast o planning and monitoring income and cash flow to ensure that income is maximised and that funds are available as required Present financial forecasts and budget reports to the PCN Board as required Ensure financial risks are recognised and discussed with the Clinical Director and Network Board members and appropriate action taken Ensure recommendations to the Board regarding allocation of resources are fair and equitable Manage the PCN bank account (currently a sub account within a Practice account) and all delegated budgets with propriety in line with all relevant organisational procedures Liaise with accountant and the Clinical Director to produce year-end accounts and present these to the Board in line with Network Agreement. Relationship Management Ensure engagement of member practices in accordance with the Network Agreement to: o maintain support for agreed PCN-wide activities o foster a culture of collaboration to improve patient outcomes, and resilience and capability across member practices o embed the PCNs ethos and values Develop, agree and deliver an internal and external communication strategy Represent the network at meetings in the community and to the media as required.
