JOB TITLE:Clinical Administrator (Contractor) REPORTING TO: Delegated Ordering Team Leader LOCATION:Remote Join us in our mission to transform patient care and be part of a dynamic and innovative team. ROLE OVERVIEW: The Contractor role of the Clinical Administrator is responsible for undertaking a wide range of clinical administrative duties, efficiently and effectively whilst supporting and communicating with the multi-disciplinary team within Medefer. The Clinical Administrator will be required to specialise in and lead on administrative and supportive tasks regarding patient care. This role is on a Contractor arrangement either on an individual self-employed basis or working via your own personal services company, enabling you to work privately to supplement your NHS income and at the same time, be part of a team working to support transformation in the NHS. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Quality Assurance; making sure the correct pathways and process are followed; including completing the investigation forms requested by the consultants, including pre-requisites and safety questions Reviewing the consultant's response letters for accuracy, completeness and correct outcome selection. Ensuring appropriate investigations are requested by Medefers consultants and clinicians and processing those requests through Medefers platform or third-party platforms Reviewing partial results received from providers and determining if the results need to be immediately reactivated to consultants or can wait until the rest of the patients' results are back for a full review Diagnostic request management Undertaking Significant Event investigation and ensuring that errors are properly recorded and addressed Continuous feedback regarding Medefers platform and pathways, for tech fixes and improvements Maintaining strict confidentiality and to adhere to the local and national Health and Safety regulations and Medefers Policies and Procedures. QUALIFICATIONS,EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES: Medical degree and have trained as a doctor up to the UK equivalent of Foundation Year 2. Administrative or clerical experience in varied health settings, including GP surgeries, hospitals, pharmacies. Previous administrative work experience dealing with patients directly. Exceptional Microsoft Office skills. Evidence of problem solving. Experience of building and/or managing a team. Experience in conflict resolution, and able to collaborate with others confidently.
