- Transcribe specialized medical dictation for the Laboratory covering a wide range of medical specialties to complete accurate and medically acceptable physician reports, laboratory reports and patient records.
- Analyze dictation for accuracy and meaning, and edits medical/other inconsistencies in dictation to ensure that information and terminology is transcribed accurately.
- Prepare medical documents for validation by the professional staff.
- Assist with accessioning and shipping specimens.
- Prepare, assemble, distribute and/or file correspondence, statistical documents, letters of inquiry, policy letters, one time and/or recurring reports (Requests for Consultation, etc.) and obtains required signatures, as necessary.
- Use varied and advanced functions of word processing software to create, format, modify, edit, and print a variety of letters, reports, memos, and other textual documents.
