We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and professional administrator to join our team as an Area Administrator on a permanent, part-time basis (30hrs per week over four days). We are looking for someone who holds the same values as Mencap and can provide day-to-day administrative support to our teams, with an enthusiasm for developing digital ways of working.
This role is office based, but with the possibility of some homeworking flexibility. The successful candidate would be required to work from our Aberaeron Office.
This is a varied administrative role, supporting a team of Service Managers and Area Operations Managers, while reporting to the Project Office Coordinator. Your duties will involve ensuring the smooth running of the office and operations including coordinating and reporting on information and data in a timely manner. You will also be supporting and monitoring business processes including recruitment, human resources, payroll, training and IT.
The successful candidate would also need to have accurate minute taking experience.
It is important that you can work in a fast-paced administrative role. Lots of flexibility in your approach to work is crucial, as you will be managing multiple tasks at any one time. You will be competent and self-motivated, with fantastic verbal and written communication skills. An ability to speak Welsh would be advantageous, but not essential.
You will have good computing skills in Microsoft Office packages, excellent verbal and written communication skills in a pressurised setting.

- Two year’s previous proven administration experience

- Excellent typing and computer skills in all Microsoft Office packages

- Proven experience of minute taking and verbal dictation.

- Office management experience including use and collation of office credit cards would be advantageous, but not essential

- Proven experience of drafting letters and reports in line with company policy

- Proven experience of supporting a management team or equivalent

- Willing / able to travel to other locations in order to support with minute taking or other tasks, although some are done over MS Teams.

- Experience of the Social Care Sector would be advantageous, but not essential as full training will be given.
