Our client is a trusted partner of the UK Ministry of Defence and are looking for an experienced Electronic Architect to work on all aspects of missile development. This will include early concept studies, series production, and in-service support. It's an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to enhance their engineering experience, and a contract extension or a permanent position is possible. As an Electronic Architect, your responsibility will be to create the electrical architecture and requirements for missiles and their associated launcher systems.

What we're looking for:

HND or Degree in a related subject desirable (or an equivalent qualification), with an Electronics proclivity, including obtained significant experience in the following areas of Systems Engineering and relevant:

Our client is a trusted partner of the UK's Ministry of Defence, and they are currently seeking an experienced RF Microwave Design Engineer to work on a new seeker as part of a fast-paced program in a dynamic team. The qualified engineer must be confident and persistent in delivering products to the highest standard within the required timeframe. This is an opportunity for a hybrid position, working three days per week, which may lead to a contract extension or a permanent role.

What we're looking for:

• Active microwave, RF, and analogue circuit design, including simulation and layout using ADS (or similar) design tools.
• Understanding of high-speed digital electronics and FPGA circuit design.
• Capability to perform design-proving tests and trials in the laboratory.
• Ability to test and diagnose hardware problems using standard and specialist test equipment such as VNAs.
• Transfer schematics into layouts for mixed signal circuit boards.
• Comprehensively skilled with manufacturing techniques and capabilities, including design for manufacture and test.
• Demonstrate the ability to develop IDDs for designs, assess thermal management and component de-rating,
• Presenting knowledge of and use of engineering tools, processes, and procedures to publish designs, record compliance against requirements, and identify and resolve non-conformances.

What you'll get to do as a RF Microwave Design Engineer:

1. Design active mixed-signal RF/microwave modules (including transmitters, receivers, and synthesisers) for RF seekers.
2. Build strong relationships with internal customers and suppliers to develop circuits to meet cost, volume constraints and environmental specifications.
3. Document designs meet requirements by creating and testing to test specifications.
4. Deliver technical support to existing designs, support production failures in the factory, and solve obsolescence issues.
