Summary
The Entry Level Autofold Stations Operator's major job duties are as follows: (1)Tear down shingle pallets. Separate and organize shingles to individual numbered stacks and place on the conveyor, (2) While separating the pancake material the employee needs to monitor the quality of the product that is being handled., (3) Moves material from the conveyor to the loading trays. (4) operates a 5-button panel to start and stop the machine. (5) Inspects complete boxes to ensure proper fold, count and quality of material. Ensure the boxes are closed and sealed then placed properly on the pallet. Other expectations include the ability to perform all the other duties and tasks of the other employees within the department when required or needed. The Autofold Stations Operator must also be knowledgeable and capable of following and enforcing all department and plant rules, policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Autofold Line set-up and operation
% Meets quality, productivity, and safety requirements on his shift
% Ensures that the housekeeping requirements are maintained and that all employees complete the necessary daily department housekeeping tasks
% Ensures daily production color schedule is followed
% Assists the other employees in the Autofold department in their job assignments as necessary or when required
Efficient Autofold equipment operation
% Assists the Autofold robot operator as necessary in the troubleshooting, operation and/or maintenance and adjustment of the Autofolding equipment
% Strives to optimize machine performances and to identify and help develop new work methods and procedures
% Knowledgeable of product colors and construction. Is able to identify product quality problems and to initiate the necessary remedial action.
% Complete the necessary tape machine/conveyor unjamming and clearing of equipment.
Direction of Autofold employees
% Instructs, trains and monitors other employees in the proper operation of their equipment % Helps to develop and maintain teamwork and harmony among all Autofold shift employees as well as between other departments
% Ensures employees work safety and that exercise and position rotations are followed
Troubleshooting & Repair of Equipment
% In conjunction with the robot operator, develops and coordinates the necessary maintenance and cleaning schedules to ensure reliable operation of the Autofold equipment
% Assists in machine maintenance, cleaning and/or repairs on the AutoFold equipment % Completes minor repairs and adjustments as required to meet production and quality requirements
Other Responsibilities
5% Assist in identifying machine improvement opportunities
5% May be required to perform other and/or related duties as assigned

● Must be able to climb a ladder and/or stairs.
● Frequent sitting, walking, and standing, and occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and balancing.
● Frequent use of eye, hand, and finger coordination enabling the use of office machinery.
● Oral and auditory capacity enabling interpersonal communication as well as communication through automated devices such as the telephone.
● Occasionally operate business machines.
● While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
● Ability to read and concentrate via computer data entry typing and proofreading.

Technical knowledge/skills (entry, intermediate, advanced)
● Safe forklift operation is mandatory

Education/Experience
● High school graduate or equivalent experience preferred but not required.
