Summary

The Groundskeeper is responsible for performing a variety of landscaping tasks using various types of power equipment and hand tools to maintain the facility’s building and grounds. The ideal candidate will have experience safely using mobile power equipment and can effectively prioritize multiple tasks throughout the day to ensure the site is aesthetically pleasing and functional. The Groundskeeper must have the ability to flex working hours around weather events, such as snow, and may assist Warehouse Associates as needed during slow time.

Essential Duties

·       Mows lawns, trims weeds, and rakes leaves as assigned.

·       Mow Fence Lines with tractor and rotary mower.

·       Picks up and removes trash prior to mowing a designated area.

·       Empties trash and recycling containers.

Summary

We are looking for a Project Engineer who will be responsible for maintaining excellence in developing, executing and controlling assigned projects to achieve plant goals. Through expert application of engineering techniques and principles, the incumbent will conduct analyses and investigations pertaining to construction of new facilities and enhancements for existing facilities to optimize productive capability of the plant. We encourage the Project Engineer to make sound recommendations, considering such factors as cost, maintainability, facility of production and availability of materials and equipment with emphasis on safety and optimum performance. Team Overview

The Learning And Development Team specializes in educating on roofing systems and best roofing practices. This team consists of instructors who teach to every level of the industry from single-roofer start-ups, multi-crew small businesses, and multi-state enterprises.

Residential training can consist of installation, business, sales or overall general efficacies in the steep slope sectors. Our team of trainers is a group of individuals with unique backgrounds and skill sets. We strive to make learning accessible, engaging and impactful for all in the roofing industry.

Summary

An External Learning and Development Instructor is responsible for running training events on primarily a regional and occasionally a nationwide basis. Seminars include sales and technical training for contractors and installers of GAF roofing materials such as Timberline and Everguard. Modules include classroom sales and webinar courses for contractors, distributors, Architects and internal GAF employees.

The Commercial Marketing team is responsible for product management and marketing all aspects of commercial roofing system products. The team interacts with a multitude of departments including R&D, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Creative, Digital, Finance, Sales, and numerous external vendors as well as customers. All members of the team are considered to be subject matter experts and have a strong cross functional knowledge of the entire product offering.

Summary:

We are seeking a Sr Product Manager, Adhesives, Sealants, & PMMA to join our Commercial Marketing team and lead the effort to manage our adhesives, sealants, and PMMA portfolios. The marketing team is responsible for product and brand management. The group develops business to business marketing strategy and is heavily involved in hands-on general management and execution in the manufacturing industry. GAF’s performance culture and relatively flat organization give tremendous opportunity to make a difference and deliver impact with a relatively high degree of autonomy in a lean and fast-paced environment. Adhesives, cleaners, and sealants are a high growth area for GAF and the Sr Product Manager will be responsible for the day to day management of the category and implementing the strategy. The categories include all membrane adhesives for single ply and commercial asphalt technologies, (Canister, buckets, etc), sealants (One part moisture and solvent based), and GAF PMMA.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• New Product Development: work cross-functionally across both the GAF and Siplast brands with R&D, Manufacturing, and Sales to identify and execute new product introductions. Multiple new product introductions expected on an annual basis.

• Ability to understand the performance of different chemistries and application methods

• Be responsible for working with contractors, technical team, and training teams to qualify new adhesives and sealants

Summary

The Category Manager is responsible for planning and leading purchasing activities to mitigate supply risk and to achieve optimal/lowest total cost of ownership of raw materials or outsourced products to meet the needs of GAF. He/She will negotiate to manage vendor and vendor-relationships and develop commercial terms and develop supply contracts, in alignment with corporate policies and procedures. The individual will leverage market and alternative vendors to help drive competitive pricing and while protecting the company against supply shortages and outages, poor material quality, and other performance and/or supplier issues that might adversely affect GAF.

The position will monitor macro trends in his/her supplier contract base and devise and implement plans to react, protecting GAF from commodity price swings and ensuring material supply availability. It will drive adherence to defined supplier performance metrics and will manage the supply base to ensure alignment with those metrics. It will also lead, and/or participate in, cross-functional teams and will drive implementation of sourcing requirements necessary to achieve project objectives. It will develop a mature understanding of the industry and will maintain industry and supplier contacts and relationships, building effective partnerships.

The Category Manager will exhibit full commodity understanding (function, technology, content difference) necessary to align targets and program deliverables and demonstrate a solid understanding of the commodity competitive market and key commodity indices in order to make recommendations and implement alternative suppliers or alternative materials. As a recent college graduate, you will rotate through various experiential learning opportunities while being anchored to a manufacturing plant location for years 1 and 2 of the experience. Building skills while working alongside various multidiscipline engineers and functional areas of our business will be the focus of this rotational program. The pace of the program will be fast and the work highly technical with the end goal being for you and the company to find your next best opportunity within the organization.

Rotations will be determined through business needs, candidate interest, and performance outcomes. The positions will be based in one of our Plants across GAF’s network . Candidates will have a dedicated leader and mentor to support their development and technical training as they cultivate their leadership and technical skills. Candidates will have the opportunity to establish a network of peers and mentors, have visibility of high-level leadership, and the opportunity to work on projects and initiatives that drive significant value to GAF.

The rotation assignments are supplemented by various training courses and experiences throughout the two year program with exposures to both internal & external resources. Training courses provide overviews of the various functions within GAF and follow a robust and interactive curriculum that will further develop competencies such as problem-solving/critical thinking, technical skills, product/process knowledge and leadership capability.

The Engineering Rotation Program consists of two (2) rewarding assignments, each one (1) year duration. Candidates will partner with Operations Leadership and the Program Manager to determine best fit, based on business needs and with consideration of the candidate's preference.

During each rotation, candidates will be assigned various individual initiatives as well as taking on relevant roles within a Plant Operations Team. Completion of these rotations will prepare the candidate for a successful start as a Process/Project Engineer II.

Summary

We are looking for a technician who is skilled at welding, fabrication, and assembly. The candidate should have experience with GMAW, SMAW, and GTAW welding processes, and additionally be competent at using an oxy-acetylene torch and plasma cutter. The candidate will work with sheet, plate, bar stock, pipe, and structural shapes for the fabrication of process machinery. The technician must be able to proficiently and safely operate shop equipment such as band saws, drills, presses, brakes, pipe threaders, and powered hand tools. The technician will participate in the assembly of fabricated and procured components into functional machinery.

Essential Duties

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Select, cut, trim, cope, drill, and shape stock materials such as flat bar, channel, angle, pipe, sheet, and plate

• Accurate fit-up and tack welding of multiple components into an assembly; complete weld-out after fit-up inspection; grinding and blending seams to the required finish

• Selection of the appropriate weld procedure and welding machine parameters including shielding gas, voltage, welding wire selection, and feed rate.

• Perform cuts on sheet and plate using saws, cut off tools, hand held plasma cutter, or CNC plasma cutter.

• Assemble multiple weldments and purchased machine components to yield fully functional machinery.

• Use rulers, calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, gauges, and other instruments for precise measurements.

• Handle heavy, large, or awkward parts manually or with hoists and cranes.

• Perform machine setup, operation, and maintenance; keep the work area in a clean and safe order.

• Read and interpret technical drawings, data sheets, and specifications.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Team or Function Overview

This position will be on the Mt. Vernon, Indiana plant operations team, located about 20 miles west of Evansville. This GAF site was founded in 1973 and produces a wide variety of asphaltic shingles and rolled roofing materials.

Summary

The primary responsibility of a mechanic is to evaluate, repair, and replace materials, products, and components for conformance to specifications by performing the duties listed below.

We offer a competitive compensation package including a starting pay rate of $38.70/hour and increasing to $41.07/hour after training, the opportunity to earn up to a 5% bonus, and full health benefits on day 1! This position will initially train on day shift, however, will be assigned to a 12 hour rotating schedule post training. Must be willing to work any shift, overtime and weekends as dictated by the needs of the business.

Essential Duties

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Detects, reports and repairs faulty operation, defective material and equipment and other unusual conditions to teammates and appropriate personnel.

• Collaborates with appropriate personnel to transmit and exchange information pertinent to work related activities.

• Responsible for operation of machines and equipment in compliance with Standard Operating Procedure.

• Responsible for communicating quality and machine problems to supervisor, team members and maintenance.

• Troubleshoot and repair facility equipment resulting in operational downtime ensuring the essential care, maintenance and operation of the equipment. Repairs requiring > 60 minutes and/or external resources must be reported to your supervisor (or designee).

• Records essential data onto Preventative Maintenance work orders and Down Day work orders to ensure proper collection of data for maintenance and operation staff.

• Verify component information, specifications and location before installation to ensure that appropriate parts are installed in exact specification as replaced parts.

• Reads instructions, prints, manuals, and written procedural instructions.

• Safely and professionally utilize; hand tools, power tools, shop equipment, and forklift.

• Works on pipe systems, which would involve repairing, modifying and installing systems.

• Perform all phases of welding including MIG, TIG and SMAW.

• Use an acetylene torch and plasma cutter.

• Perform millwright work such as aligning a pump and motor with laser alignment tool, install sheaves, belts, align equipment, check installation for square and belt tension.

• Basic understanding of Mill and Lathe operation

• Remove and install bearings and be able to perform all maintenance work required on bearings.

• Works with applicable predictive technologies to improve operations.

• Works in conjunction with Operations to ensure that all equipment has been tested and is working in a safe manner and with satisfying results.

• Assists with maintaining accurate records to include but not limited to: Maximo, storeroom, calibration, and drawings.

• Assists supervision in the design of new equipment as well as replacement equipment to enhance the performance of plant processes.

• Complete Preventative Maintenance and Down Day work orders with precision, ensuring that all components are verified for proper operation prior to startup.

• Works in conjunction with Operations to ensure that all equipment has been tested and is working in a safe manner and with satisfying results.

• Work scheduled shifts and overtime as assigned.

• Completes Daily Paperwork to be turned in at the end of each shift, properly documenting all observed details (includes maintaining mechanical log).

• Performs all work in a safe, efficient manner and follows all safety procedures.

• Participates in the continuing training process.

• Maintains work area in a neat and orderly condition.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

• Oral and auditory capacity enabling interpersonal communication as well as communication through automated devices such as the telephone and production line radios

• Experience in a continuous process manufacturing experience, preferably 3-5 years of demonstrated plant maintenance experience and/or training.

This CARE Trainer will be a part of a team of instructors who teach to every level of the industry from single-roofer start-ups, multi-crew small businesses, and multi-state enterprises. Learning & Development training can consist of installation, business, sales or overall general efficacies in roofing. Our team of trainers is a group of individuals with unique backgrounds and skill sets. We strive to make learning accessible, engaging and impactful for all in the roofing industry.

Summary

A Learning & Development Instructor trainer is responsible for running training events on primarily a regional and occasionally a nationwide basis. Seminars include sales and technical training for contractors and installers of GAF roofing Systems. Modules include classroom sales and webinar courses for contractors, distributors, Architects and internal GAF employees.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Continually improve and competently deliver both technical and sales training seminars for all GAF customers including contractors, owners, distributors, specifiers, Architects and others
