Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add an [Staff Firmware Engineer] located in [TW Taipei Wugu Site].
Staff Firmware Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing firmware for automotive-grade inverter power generators. The role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful integration of firmware with hardware components, meeting automotive standards, and delivering high-quality solutions.
What a typical day looks like:
- Design, develop, and maintain firmware for the pure-sine power inverter generator, ensuring high performance, reliability, safety, and compliance with automotive standards.
- Implement advanced control algorithms and communication protocols for efficient and accurate power conversion and system management.
- Conduct comprehensive testing and validation of the firmware to ensure compliance with all relevant automotive standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 26262).
- Collaborate closely with hardware, test engineers and electrical engineers to ensure seamless integration of firmware with power electronics components.
- Continuously improve the firmware performance and functionality based on field data, user feedback, and power electronics principles.
- Develop and maintain documentation for the firmware code and design, adhering to industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in firmware development tools, power electronics technologies, and automotive safety standards.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in firmware development for automotive or embedded systems.
- Proven experience in designing and developing firmware for high-power electronics applications.
- Strong understanding of power electronics principles, control theory, embedded systems programming, and automotive software safety standards.
- Excellent knowledge of RTOS, C programming language and familiarity with AUTOSAR architecture.
- Experience with model-based design and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing.
- Familiarity with development control system, ex: bitbucket, jira, confluence
- Familiarity with automotive communication interface, ex: CAN, LIN
- Thorough understanding of automotive safety standards and ISO 26262
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
