The role:
As the site Labourer you will be responsible for assisting with site clearance, moving materials, cleaning various areas including finished houses for handover and assisting traders where needed.

About you:
*Ideally you will have previous working experience in a labouring position. You will be comfortable lifting and shifting materials throughout the day.
*If asked you will be happy working on the gate.
*You will be conscious of health and safety on site and will be weary of others who are working alongside of you.
*You will arrive on time, finish your shift at the times allocated by the site manager and complete additional duties as and when the site manager requires.

To be successful in your application for this role you will have and be able to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:
*Previous experience in a Labouring position
*You will have a CSCS Card
*Strong work ethic in a team
*Be approachable and happy to work as a point of contact when working in a standalone position.

Trainee Social Value Coordinator - Leading Commercial Contractor Bristol & Surrounding areas

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Trainee Social Value Coordinator to join a leading nationwide contractor. Our client is one of the country's top privately owned contractors who specialises in dynamic civil schemes working alongside Tier 1 Contractors. They are currently looking for a social value trainee to cover developments across the South West Counties.

Main Responsibilities:

• Working closely with the pre-construction team when putting together bids.
• Manage and maintain relationships with the local community, companies and educational facilities.
• Assist with recruitment for apprenticeships and placements.
• Manage relevant marketing materials.

Your responsibilities will include (not exhaustive):

• Lead CSR activities, events and initiatives
• Produce content for social media, website and new letters, developing and managing communications for the projects also liaising with the site teams to gain progress reports from site.
• Keeping up to date with local and surrounding news, also being a representative figure for the business across the community.

The Ideal Candidate:

The successful applicant in the role of Trainee Social Value Coordinator will be instrumental in the future development of the environmental and economics of the company's culture to achieve the benefits available through their continuous improvement strategies. You will have experience within a similar role and preferably within the construction industry.

Qualifications/Requirements/Capabilities:

• GCSE in Maths & English
• Previous experience within a corporate responsibility or Social value based role.
• Bachelors Degree
• Strong communication skills both verbally and written
• Good knowledge and experience of Microsoft packages

We are working with a well-established Social Housing Contractor who specialise within decarbonisation/retrofit of Social Housing properties. The company are passionate about reducing fuel poverty by making homes warmer and more energy efficient.

In order to sustain their recent growth, they are looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to join their Southern team. Experience of working within Social Housing refurbishment is ideal, along with some experience of working on decarbonisation contracts.

Reporting into a Commercial Manager, you will be covering refurbishment schemes throughout the area with some travel to sites required which are in Reading & Swindon, and some in the Worcester area.

The company will pay a salary of up to £55k plus car, or allowance, travel expenses and yearly bonus.
