Disability Assessor *Home-based*

Salary: £35,000 - £42,000 (depending on location)

What a day in the life of a Disability Assessor looks like:

- You would be completing medical assessments and writing up detailed reports, reviewing other medical reports and gathering supporting evidence to back up your PIP claimant.
- You will assess and observe individuals who have a range of conditions such as physical, mental health, cognitive and sensory impairments.
- Conducting a thorough functional medical assessment of their disability or condition.
- Use of strong communication skills to learn more about how their disability affects them.
- Write and Submit reports using IT systems.

Back Office – this role requires you to review PIP cases and complete paper-based reviews of the cases. You would be the first person to review a PIP case including terminally ill cases and you would be expected to gather evidence and the medical evidence required.

Front Office – you are required to complete telephone assessments with individuals suffering from various conditions including physical, mental and/or learning disabilities. You must then write up a concise report following the telephone assessment. Your role does not require you to treat, diagnose or make any decision nor does it require any hands-on care. Although your previous clinical knowledge will be useful when completing your detailed assessments and writing in depth reports.

What we are looking for:

- Full HCPC/NMC registration
- 1 years’ experience postgraduate
- Skilled in report writing
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure

Building Surveyor (Scotland)

Where: Homebased role, based in and around either Glasgow or Edinburgh
When: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £45,000pa - £50,000pa DOE + company car

We are currently seeking a Building Surveyor, providing technical and professional support to the property and large loss adjusting teams. You will play a key role in offering advice and guidance on complex building issues that arise from client losses.

This will involve tasks such as providing technical advice, writing reports, capturing specifications and scopes, preparing tender documentation, managing procurement, and overseeing contract administration. You will receive referrals for work from our own adjuster teams as well as third-party adjusters/insurers. It will be your responsibility to handle losses over £50,000, overseeing the entire process from engagement to completion.

What will you be doing?

- Working independently but as part of a home-based UK team, you will be responsible for your own portfolio of work.
- The work will involve repairs caused by all the major perils but mainly, fire, flood, escape of water and impact and all types of domestic buildings and some commercial property.
- Responsible for producing a quality service to internal and external loss adjusters and insurer clients following internal processes.
- Being a building construction technical referral point for the CCA team, including confirming and validation repair costs.
- Running own caseload of high value/complex property repairs, including conducting site visits and assessments to establish the extent and value of domestic and commercial damage and repairs.
- Provide support to our adjusters – assistance with scope reviews, structural engineers report reviews/ queries, loss assessor scopes, tenders, joint site visits, project management.

What we need from you:

- Must hold BSc (Hons) degree or equivalent
- RICS or CIOB desirable or working towards
- Experienced Surveyor
- Specialist experience in a related subject would be an advantage.
- Extensive and demonstrable property claims insurance experience is an advantage.
- A good level of construction industry experience/knowledge, including cost is required.
