- Supervisory duties to include the planning of work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts short-term priorities, and prepares schedules for completion of work.
- Evaluates work performance of subordinates; give advice, counsel, or instruction to incumbents on both work and administrative matters.
- Ensures efficient utilization and professional development of subordinates is achieved through training, production and quality improvements, and performance standards.
- Provides leadership and technical guidance to subordinates and to other managers and their personnel regarding requirements for assigned areas.
- Reviews and approves negotiation recommendations based on pricing and technical reviews, personal knowledge of the contractor's operations, and complex guidelines governing profit and fee to maintain quality of products.
- Represents the team and as appropriate the managing organization by articulating policy, justifying activities, defending operations and briefing management.
- Provides program guidance, committing resources and negotiating the resolution of problems attributed to pricing and/or technical pricing activities.
- Assures that team functions are conducted within the guidelines provided by higher authority, including ensuring cost and pricing cases are properly loaded and assigned in the appropriate Agency Authorized Capability.
- Provides advice to the higher-level Team Supervisor on the relationship and impact of team problems to total group and Command level programs as required.
- Resolves actions at their working level or moves requests forward for elevation until resolution occurs.
- Directs the team's pricing and/or technical pricing mission programs to include early acquisition engagement, cost and price analysis and technical support to negotiations.
- Directs the team's pricing and/or technical pricing mission programs for technical support to indirects, and other negotiation support such as forward pricing, progress payments, and final vouchers.
