IT Support Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers etc
- Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests
- Providing technical support across customers
- On-site support for IT related issues at customer office
- Performing & maintaining customers’ IT inventory list
- Handling server related issues through the ticket system, escalate to server supplier TAC and follow up accordingly.
- Replace parts for servers like mainboards, CPU, RAM, HDD/SSDs, network linecards / modules, transceivers and cables
Requirements:
- Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology or related disciplines
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
- Troubleshooting & Problem-solving skills
- Ability to determine computer problems and to coordinate hardware, software, and/or network solutions.
- Ability to communicate technical guidance and instruction to users on the use of PC and/or mainframe applications and systems.
Capable of working in a fast paced environment
- Knowledge of a wide range of computer systems software, applications, hardware, networking, servers and communications.
- Familiar with data center environment is a PLUS
