What skills, knowledge and experience will you need?

• The ability to design, implement, administer, and support infrastructure technologies, solutions and services such as: AWS, Azure and OCI
• Ensures that the right actions are taken to investigate, resolve and anticipate Network problems.
• Takes accountability of issues that occur and is proactive in searching for potential problems.
• Significant experience with Infrastructure as Code and Configuration as Code, CI/CD pipelines. Gitlab, Ansible, Python, Terraform.

As a Senior NetOps Engineer you will have the ongoing responsibility for the full range of products that make up Network Services.

The role will involve creating and developing our DevOps/ NetOps culture in the team as we transition to new ways of working.

Working in collaboration with a range of internal/external partners, stakeholders and customers you will ensure the operational stability, robustness, resilience, availability, and quality of DWP Networks.

We have two roles available.

Your time will roughly be split 70% hands-on data engineering and 30% leadership, strategy, and management.

You'll join a close-knit team at the heart of one DWP's highest priority transformation projects - the Health Transformation Programme. This team is responsible for both the Personal Independence Payments (PIP) and Health Assessment services.

Data modelling is key in this role - you'll be running platforms and transforming raw data into model raw datasets.
