We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced HGV Class 1 (Tramper) Driver for a tramping role to join our team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated driver looking for stability, great pay and long-distance driving across the UK.

The Role:

As an HGV Class 1 Tramper Driver, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth transportation of goods across the UK.

Based in Dover, you will pick up 13.6 trailers at Dover port and deliver them to various locations across the country, including Birmingham, Liverpool and Scotland.

This role involves overnight stays and provides a great opportunity to see more of the UK while enjoying the benefits of a well-compensated, long-distance driving position.

Key Responsibilities:

Pick-Up & Delivery:

Collect 13.6 trailers from Dover Port and deliver goods to destinations across the UK, including Birmingham, Liverpool and Scotland.

Long-Distance Driving:

Operating the HGV Class 1 vehicle for multi-drop, long-distance deliveries with overnight stays.

Safety & Compliance:

Ensure all loads are secured, comply with transport regulations and maintain a high standard of safety at all times.

Customer Focused:

Represent the company professionally and deliver excellent service to customers at each drop-off point.

Vehicle Maintenance:

Perform daily checks on the vehicle and report any issues or damages to the fleet manager.

Requirements:

HGV Class 1 Licence (C+E) – Valid and up-to-date.
Proven experience as an HGV driver, preferably with tramper or long-distance driving.
Ability to manage solo trips and long hours effectively.
Must be comfortable with overnight stays as part of the role.
Knowledge of and adherence to all UK transport regulations and safety standards.
Professional attitude towards clients and customers.
