The role
As a Management Accountant, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary where you'll support the customer's mission which fully supports Babcock's mission to create a safer world together.

Day-to-day, you'll be responsible for managing the business function's overheads, budgets and general finance administration.

• Supporting cost centre owners in managing their overheads against budget, tracking and forecasting spend whilst being the point of contact for finance related queries and general finance administration
• Deliver the monthly results of both UK branches and overseas entities to the management team
• Responsible for setting annual budgets, supporting cost centre managers in analysing transaction detail and projecting spend

• Posting accruals and prepayments, reconciling balance sheet control accounts, agreeing intercompany balances, preparing and populating reports and submitting returns

This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2 days in the office/onsite and 3 days working from home.

Essential experience of the Management Accountant

• Proficient with Microsoft Office - in particular, Excel modelling skills
• Advanced numeric, analytical and technical skills

Essential experience of the HSE Manager

• Have a proven track record preferably gained within a similar role in the Nuclear or other highly regulated high hazard industry

• Ability to investigate events using industry best-practice causal analysis tools

As a Planning Engineer , you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. Working on the latest cutting-edge technology for the Royal Navy ensuring the continuous at sea deterrent which ensures the safe guarding of the UK.

Day-to-day, you'll identify the maintenance data and work required for the future submarine maintenance periods.

• Resolve any planning and scheduling ambiguities within these activities.
• Provide regular liaison with a variety of stakeholders to ensure accuracy and achievement of the required quality.
• Build the indicative planning schedule (key date schedule) for the maintenance work activities

This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2 days in the office/onsite and 3 days working from home. It is also adaptable and can be delivered from various locations including Bristol, Plymouth and Helensburgh.

This position involves travel/working across a range of internal and customer sites around once per month.

Essential experience of the Planning Engineer

• Experience working as a Planning Engineer on complex engineering projects OR experience as a mechanical or electrical engineer.
• Understanding of relevant systems such as P6 or Microsoft project.

Qualifications for the Planning Engineer

• Ideally hold an HNC or HND, although this is not essential.
