The Opportunity
Our broad portfolio of Digital Media products and solutions enables our customers to build, deliver, and measure personalized experiences that their users can access from virtually any device. Our solutions include Adobe Creative Cloud, which offers the most innovative tools and cloud-based services for crafting digital media; and Adobe Document Cloud, which provides a modern way to handle documents at home, in the office, and across devices.
The Adobe Strategic Partnerships team is passionate about delivering material growth and market share expansion into new markets through strategic partnerships with responsibility for sourcing, evaluating, negotiating, and implementing partnership deals and initiatives across Adobe’s Creative Cloud and Document Cloud business units. As a Strategic Partnerships Principal, you will join a team that works closely with cross-functional teams and executive leadership to implement partner deals aligned with Adobe's critical initiatives.
Key responsibilities will be to craft, implement, and lead a cross-functional process using general management methodology to deliver forecasted annual recurring revenue (ARR) upside over the life of a partnership.
What You'll Do
- Become deeply knowledgeable about the Adobe Digital Media business, including business models, customer segmentation, customer workflows, product offerings, competitors, marketing, and go-to-market (GTM).
- Become a highly effective partner management and business development colleague to Adobe business units, in order to align on and achieve objectives and key results.
- Identify, scope, and drive engagements with partners that are aligned with Digital Media Strategic Initiatives
- Drive collaboration with business units, including executive leadership, to formally engage in deal negotiation and execution of key deal terms
- Drive path forward across workstreams: decide cadences, agendas, and priorities, and then implement the narrative both internally and externally
- Lead presentations regarding status, updates, and overall strategy both internally and externally
What You'll Need to Succeed
- BA/BS degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of cross-functional experience in roles such as business development, partner management, and market development with Fortune 500 companies.
- Ability to identify and evaluate new business opportunities, build partnership strategy, assess market opportunity / competitive landscape, and develop financial / business models
- Experience in Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) or technology licensing
- Prior knowledge of digital media or creative design software is helpful.
- Ability to build high-trust relationships and negotiate sophisticated legal agreements with large, strategic partners at all levels of the organization
- Strong leadership presence with a proven track record of driving consensus both internally and with external partners.
- Creativity to strategically problem solve, comfort with ambiguity, and the initiative to incessantly seek opportunities that materially impact the business
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using Adobe services and products.
- Understanding of Information Technology (IT) / business technical requirements, with regard to SaaS and client software within enterprise, SMB, and education markets.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $116,700 -- $217,500 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.
At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
