The huge range of work carried out by the company includes process pipework and plant installation along with planned and preventive maintenance. This is a fantastic opportunity for Counterbalance Forklift Driver to join the company supporting a major project in Bedford, MK40 4LU.

Duties

As an experienced and suitably qualified counterbalance forklift driver you will be working within a Food production facility on a project to remove and re install process pipework and equipment. The primary duties will be to safely unload and distribute as necessary, all new process equipment delivered to site. Specific items will include high value pumps, motors, valve sets and one-off pieces of specialist equipment. Other duties will include assisting fitters with basic installation works, typically tightening bolts, painting pipework and installing pipework. Full training will be given for this aspect of the job.

About You

This role would suit people who have:

• a C+E category (Class 1) LGV drivers licence
• previous experience as a driver (particularly long-distance commercial deliveries)
• good service skills with the ability to represent Co-op positively on the road
• the ability to work positively with Co-op customers and colleagues
• great organisation and time management skills

As part of the application process for this job, you'll need to complete two online assessments. It will take around 20 minutes to complete these tests.

**One hour flexibility each side of the 'ordinary' start time provided to you. For example - if your 'ordinary' start time is 22:00, then for most shifts you'll start at 22:00, however, on occasion, you may be scheduled to start a shift up to a maximum of 60 minutes earlier or later than your 'ordinary' start time.
