Responsibilities

As an Automotive Technician, you would be an integral part of our day to day functions.

• Predominantly workshop based with mobile capability
• Taking care of general vehicle repair and maintenance duties

Responsibilities and Duties
• In this role you will be responsible for multi drop deliveries to customers in the surrounding area, providing top quality customer service.
• The role involves driving the Class 2 HGV vehicles with HIAB Crane
• In addition to your driving duties, we would expect you to be flexible and assist with yard/warehouse duties should the need arise.
• Saturday working is a requirement for this role, and you will be expected to work every other Saturday morning.
Qualifications and Skills
• HIAB certification and experience is preferred for this role.

We currently have two vacancies working either 06:00 to 16:00 Monday to Friday or 06:00 to 18:00 on a rota 4 on 4 off. A typical day involves loading and unloading vehicles, moving stock in the warehouse or picking orders. Most of the work will involve using the VNA Forklift, however you must be able to complete some heavy lifting if required.

Salary £32,076 - £33,024 per annum base salary ( £40,536 - £41,723 per annum including overtime and tool allowance) 42 hours per week – Monday to FridayPermanent

About the role…
We are looking for an enthusiastic HGV Vehicle Technician to join our hard-working, highly successful team. Providing excellent front line services, Ubico is a rapidly expanding local authority owned Company.
Reporting to the Fleet Workshop & Maintenance Manager, you will carry out inspections, servicing, repairing, maintaining HGV and light vehicles, plant and equipment to required standards in line with Compliance and Health & Safety regulations and procedures.

You will need…


City & Guild Craft Certificate in Motor Vehicle Mechanics or equivalent
Experience of understanding vehicle inspections, servicing and repairing of motor vehicles; working on a mixed fleet would be a distinct advantage.
Good communication skills, with excellent attention to detail and a flexible approach to work
Full valid driving licence

We are recruiting a Roamer/Tramper HGV Driver to join our team, working from our Operation Centre in Gloucester.

Copart is the global leader in online vehicle remarketing and recycling, working in partnership with many of the world's leading insurance companies, banks, automotive dealers, fleet and rental car companies.

Your home location will be Gloucester, but you will be required to travel to other operation centres to assist them with holiday cover and increased workload. You will be expected to complete 3 to 4 overnights per week.

Driving one of our modern fleet transporters, you will collect and deliver vehicles of all shapes and sizes from both rural and urban environments. These vehicles are primarily accident damaged and therefore loading/unloading them can be physically demanding. We will however ensure you have the best training to steer you to success!

Our Drivers carry out internal and external checks on their trucks and equipment and report any defects, photograph any damage and carry out inspections of all collected and delivered vehicles.

You must comply with legal and company requirements of a professional driver and operate the vehicle and loading equipment in a safe and efficient manner, following all H&S policies and procedures.

What we need from you:

• It's essential that you possess an HGV/LGV Licence, Class 1 or Class 2
• Previous experience in a similar role
• A good understanding of the EU drivers' hours and working time rules
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Great customer service skills
• Proficient in basic IT skills and the use of a handheld device
• Car transportation or recovery experience would be an advantage, but not essential
