- Represent management as the direct interface between Wheeler-Sack Army Airfield, the Army Field Support Battalion, and the Defense Logistics Agency representatives for all matters concerning petroleum supply and distribution requirements.
- Operate and maintain a complete mechanical fuels distribution system to include the airfield's Oasis aircraft hot refueling point.
- Verify the daily physical inventory from eight refuel tankers and five above ground storage tanks by means of tapes, bob, and petroleum detecting paste to determine the quantity of fuel on hand.
- Responsible for requesting the ordering of bulk F-24, when needed, to maintain mission readiness for Department of Defense aircraft.
- Direct the receipt and transfer of F-24 from commercial tank trucks to storage tank.
- Serves as an Airfield Hazardous Materials Representative for Waste and Contaminated Petroleum, Oils, and Lubricant with Fort Drum on hazardous materials issues.
- Operates aircraft de-icing equipment consisting of a 66,000 pounds gross vehicle weight (GVW) hi-reach with a 78-foot-high boom and a mobile high lift vehicle with a 120-foot-high boom with open bucket for large, fixed wing aircraft.
