Job Description:

• Ensuring SOP are followed and participate in lab protocol maintenance.
• Effective communication of research results to director and lab members.
• Participate in grant writing/budgeting for relevant research sections.
• Preparation of presentations and reports.

• Provide staff training to new hires.

Job requirement:

• PhD in Life Sciences with specific experience in transplant biology, immunology or gene therapy.
• Theoretical and practical knowledge of technology platforms in the areas of molecular and cell biology.
• Min 2 years post-doc experience.
• Experience in manuscript writing as first author.

Job description:

Perform routine and complex analytical tests on human body fluids and tissues to provide accurate data for optimal diagnosis, treatment and monitoring of disease states. Capable of performing all of the tests in a single section or most of the tests in all clinical laboratory sections: bacteriology, immunohematology, chemistry, haematology, parasitology, serology and urinalysis.

• Perform routine laboratory test procedures as outlined in the established SOPs and according to MOH regulations, ISO and CAP accreditation. Adhere to quality assurance and quality control procedures in performing all testing.

• Correlate clinical information and/or previous lab results and reports discrepancies to HOD.

• Participate in developmental work on new tests

• Participate in established TQM activities, QC testing of lab reagents and maintenance of equipment. Follow protocol for running and documenting control values.

• Maintain open communication with HOD and other team members to ensure optimal operation and follow-up. Communicate pertinent information to other team members in a clinically relevant time frame to enhance the lab’s contribution to patient care

• Perform other assigned duties as instructed or required

Job requirements:

• At least Diploma in Biomedical Science or relevant course of study

• Minimum 1-2 years of clinical laboratory experience in a hospital or commercial lab environment

• Able to commit to a 5.5 days (Mon-Sat) & flexible to different staggered shift schedules

• Various departments for placement: Microbiology, Special Chemistry, ImmunoBiochemistry, Hematology, Satellite Laboratory

• Computer literate, basic knowledge & skills in ULTRA will be an added advantage
