The post holder will work closely with the principal investigator, clinical and research teams to co-ordinate and deliver research within the Paediatric Clinical Trials unit, NIHR Biomedical Research Centre at Moorfields Eye Hospital. The post holder will deliver a high standard of clinical care and be able to work as an independent autonomous practitioner. The Rheumatology Research Team at University College London Hospital (UCLH) is expanding and are seeking two Band 5 Nurses to join the team. This role offers an opportunity to enter the exciting filed of clinical research without prior research experience. If you are passionate about patient care and eager to contribute to the advancement of clinical knowledge in rheumatology, we would love to hear from you.

The Rheumatology Research Department works on a portfolio of UCLH sponsored and hosted studies. We recruit to studies for adult and adolescent patients with inflammatory conditions. You will be supported to develop your clinical research nursing skills to recruit participants to rheumatology research projects following Good Clinical Practice and data protection guidelines, as well as national and local standard operating procedures.
Current studies include interventional trials of medicinal products (Phase I to IV) and observational projects.

The Research Funding Officer is a member of the pre-award team supporting the coordination and submission of a portfolio of research funding applications working closely with academics and professional services staff in the three faculties. This is a busy, varied role which requires the post holder to: provide advice on the costing and pricing of research funding applications; provide guidance on internal processes and submission systems; manage a portfolio of grant applications; own the electronic funding submissions for their given portfolio; liaise with colleagues post-award and research contracts teams; and provide an efficient service to academic and professional services staff in the faculties. Company client is working with an investment management and pension services provider for public sector pension funds in their search for an Analyst across Actuarial and Funding Risk to join them on a permanent basis.
Within this role you will deliver and develop actuarial and funding risk modelling, analysis and reporting for pension fund clients and stakeholders. You will prepare funding (asset and liability) risk modelling using their ALM software covering analysis and oversight of long-term client funding strategy. You will then prepare funding risk reporting before it is issued for checking and review.
Role requirements:
* Experienced part or NNQ level Actuary (or qualified by experience).
* Demonstrable UK DB pensions knowledge from within a technical or pensions modelling role.
* Experience of using asset liability modelling software and working within a risk management framework.
* Experience in using PowerBI, ALM software, some prior coding knowledge would be attractive but not essential.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a team with plenty of longevity due to working on open LGPS schemes. This is a fairly small team that can offer plenty of variety and the chance to get stuck in to plenty of work. This role may go permanent for the right candidate.

Company client is working with a leading pensions consultancy seeking a Pensions Data Director to join them from any of their UK offices. This role is designed to aid de-risking projects so data is an enabler rather than a barrier.
As a Director within this team you will firstly understand the issues of your client, set a strategy and plan for resolving those issues and then provide technical guidance and oversight to the team to implement that solution for you to review. Typical projects may be centred around GMP, auditing data, benefits and calculations, bulk data rectification and benefit (re-)construction and data cleansing and improving electronic data. This role is not centred entirely around GMP work.
Role requirements:
* FIA qualified preferably or be qualified by experience (preferable to have an actuarial background but not essential)
* Strong knowledge and experience of UK DB Pension arrangements with a technical pensions background
* Good understanding of manual benefit calculations and processes and GMP equalisation and rectification
