St Augustine Academy is looking to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic Science Technician to join their passionate and motivated science department.
The Science Technician will be required to offer technical support to the science department's teachers, ensuring the department operates smoothly. They must ensure that all equipment functions correctly and safely for practical science lessons. Prior experience in a similar role is crucial, as is a solid understanding of scientific concepts and workplace health and safety.
Specific tasks will vary according to the term, however typical duties include:
Carrying out risk assessments for practical and technical activities
Preparing necessary solutions and equipment for practical experiments
Maintaining, repairing and taking inventory of apparatus
Liaising with staff over equipment and safety issues
Running trials of experiments and demonstrations
Supporting the overall work of the Science Department

The Norton Knatchbull School is looking to appoint an excellent Teacher of Mathematics to start in November 2024. This is a fixed term, full-time position, to assist the department with maternity cover until the end of the academic year. The successful applicant will have the ability to teach Mathematics up to and including GCSE. We welcome applicants who are keen to work with high achieving and motivated students in a strong department.

The Maths Department in NKS is a high performing department where colleagues are extremely supportive of each other and work together effectively. They see their role as equipping our students with excellent maths skills for the next phase of their lives whether that is A Level, university, or work. They seek to provide learning that enables students to become confident with their maths skills, whilst enjoying the subject.

The Maths Department aspires for all of our students to succeed. Students achieve excellent exam results both at GCSE and at A level. This is achieved by a team of committed maths specialist teachers. All of the teachers in the department have the opportunity to teach across all Key Stages and there are additional opportunities to teach further maths at both GCSE and A Level.

THE POST

Required for as soon as possible, the Trustees are seeking to appoint a well-qualified, experienced Specialist Teacher of Mathematics with a possible £5k "Golden Hello" and a £5k pa “performance related bonus” available for the right candidate.The successful candidate will be a joining the team of highly experienced Mathematics Teachers across the Trust. They successful candidate will be required to work within any school within the Trust as the need arises. For January 2025 or sooner, it is expected that the successful candidate will be working at The Charles Dickens School. As Barton Manor School grows and the needs of the Trust change the successful candidate may be asked to teach in any of the 3 schools.

Strood Academy is seeking to appoint a creative, analytical and methodical Teacher of Science to join the department from January 2025, or earlier if possible. You will be part of a vibrant, experienced, supportive science team; we believe in working collaboratively, sharing ideas and supporting each other to achieve great things and see this as the key to further developing innovative teaching and learning strategies.

Role and Responsibilities:
*To plan, develop and deliver high quality lessons using a variety of approaches, to continually enhance teaching and learning
*To monitor student progress, keeping student records that include assessment outcomes and targets set at regular intervals in line with Academy policy, to enable all students to achieve their full potential.
