The mathematics department at Boston Spa Academy has an excellent track record of academic success. In the past two academic years, Progress 8 measures for the subject at GCSE were +0.97 and +1.07, placing the department as one of the highest performing in the country. This is further supplemented by our thriving A Level provision, in which Mathematics and Further Mathematics have large numbers of students who achieve exceptionally well. The team consists of 12 teachers, with a Director of Maths, Deputy Director of Maths, and three Assistant Leaders of Maths. We are looking to appoint an outstanding Qualified Teacher to join our successful Science Department on a temporary, maternity cover contract. This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented, dynamic and ambitious ECT or experienced professional.
