This Graduate Science Teaching Assistant role will see the successful candidate joining a supportive Science department and supporting the teaching and learning across KS3 and KS4. The school have identified several students across the age range who require extra motivation and support and are looking for a Science Graduate to support these students. You will be working directly with the Head of Science, who will be utilising your specialist degree knowledge to support with pupils across Key Stage 3, 4 & 5. This Science Teaching Assistant vacancy will see the successful graduate working on a 1:1 and small group intervention basis to improve their attainment and progress.

The school are keen to meet a Science Graduate who has a great academic record including at least a 2.1 in their degree. The successful Science Teaching Assistant will possess the personality and work-ethic that sees them establish themselves as a role model to students. For this graduate Science Tutor position, previous experience supporting students academically or in more informal settings is highly advantageous.

You will be provided with training, support, and the necessary tools you would need in rider to succeed and to make a positive difference within the department and the pupils learning. The Headteacher is fully supportive of all Teaching Assistants and will make sure the school do everything they can to prepare you fully, before embarking on your PGCE next year.

With support completion of analysis of quantitative and qualitative data from the study. Support the recruitment, data monitoring, data collection, data entry and data analysis. Co-lead on reports, publications, and abstracts and orally present at conferences, and publications. Support the completion of all phases of the project. Maintain a database/record of data collection conducted and respondents contact details to ensure databases are maintained efficiently and accurately. Undertake any training relevant to the role, including safeguarding and data protection training. Ensure the security and confidentiality of data. Support the team in seeking relevant literature, summarising research and drafting papers for publication under the supervision of senior team members. Prepare reports on progress of data collection and undertake administrative tasks as needed. Organise, attend and present progress at project steering group, and team meetings. Prioritising workload in discussion with the team.
