- Applies a wide range of mathematics, statistics and qualitative and/or quantitative methods to conduct studies, initiate new areas of study related to the data used in and for the government-wide category management program.
- Supports the development of analytical and/or mathematical models analyzing complex data related to category spend, agency-specific best in class or spend under management, small business utilization and cost avoidance.
- Plans, designs and develops key performance indicator (KPI) requirements and methodologies for reporting on metrics relative to the government-wide category management program. Prepares recommendations for potential changes/adjustments to KPIs and other metrics.
- Provides technical expertise and feedback to management regarding the development of highly visible, complex business oriented reports and metrics to measure and track program performance.
- Serves as the subject matter expert (SME) for troubleshooting data capturing processes, procedures and systems to ensure data quality.
- Prepares written and oral reports or presentations regarding study findings, conclusions, and recommendations for leadership. Synthesizes highly technical information for non-technical audiences.
- Supports program management efforts such as identifying requirements for automated analytical tools, defining standard processes and methodologies, documenting best practices, and developing appropriate program content to be used on Category Management dashboards related to analyses performed.
