Marketing Executive/Manager, Chorley, £25-30k

We are now looking to hear from commercially experienced Marketing Executives and/or Marketing Managers who are able produce/implement marketing strategies to further increase brand awareness and sales growth.

Ideally you will have a background in:
• Managing/updating social media and e-commerce platforms.
• Designing/producing marketing materials.
• Implementing digital marketing campaigns.
• Using Google AdWords and Analytics to monitor and improve campaign performance.
• Good working knowledge of PPC and SEO best practices.

About the job

This newly created role will report to the Head of Marketing; the Marketing Manager is responsible for the offline and PR elements of the Alfa Travel and Leisureplex marketing ensuring their brand images are communicated in such a way as to maximise sales and ensure ongoing competitive advantage in the marketplace.

The Marketing Manager will work closely with the Head of Marketing on s business reports and finding new channels for customer acquisition. This role will have the responsibility to manage a small team of 2 and provide support to the Head of Marketing on the over-arching marketing strategy. Working in partnership with the Digital Marketing Manager will be essential to ensure the same message is seen by customers both online and offline.

This role is office based, predominately working 5 days per week Monday- Friday; with flexible hours in place. The salary for this role will be based on skills and experience; with a salary range of £35,000-£40,000 per annum dependent on the candidate.

The main responsibilities are:


Main point of contact for all offline marketing activities
Planning and delivery of customer acquisition and retention via direct marketing offline channels to ensure best ROI
Development and promotion of the Groups brands via consistent marketing messages both internally and externally
Overseeing the brochure production process on an annual basis
Developing and implementing a marketing plan for the Travel Trade network
Managing and negotiating with suppliers on outsourced marketing elements
Developing and supporting with the internal brand and communications pieces
Planning and managing the PR strategy for the Group
Management of the offline team including development and training
Managing the key marketing KPI’s


Key skills and experience


Experience of working in a similar role within a marketing function
Experience of creating brochures or similar offline marketing material in a B2C environment
Ability to use data to drive your marketing decisions
Creative approach bringing new ideas to the table to influence sales and brand presence
Organisations excellent to be able to meet key marketing deadlines, organising your own and your team’s tasks
Managerial experience
Excellent negotiation skills with external suppliers
Accuracy and attention to detail is essential
Ideally marketing qualification or qualified by experience

Assisting with the designing of marketing elements including postcards, posters, emails
Assisting with the delivery of customer acquisition and retention via direct marketing
Drafting PR statements for review
Work with the Marketing Manager to ensure the offline Strategy is being followed and all tasks are complete
Deliver marketing and promotional plans on time and on budget
Providing cover for the Travel Trade Executive as required
