The EEU is a new Unit formed to support the identification, support and facilitation of research, innovation and enterprise activity at the University. The Enquiries team within EEU will be the first point of contact for our ‘front door model’, for enquirers and as such you will be expected to have an excellent knowledge of what the university can offer and how we can support enquirers.

As part of the Research and Enterprise Service, EEU contributes to the delivery of the University’s strategic objectives particularly in relation research and knowledge exchange. The enquiries team within EEU will have specific responsibility for capturing enquiries, logging them on our CRM system and then triaging them to determine their flow through the organisation ensuring that enquiries are dealt with in a professional manner. This role will provide general administrative support to deliver these activities.

The successful applicant will have demonstrable experience of current administrative/clerical practices in a busy office environment and experience of customer service, organising, updating and maintaining accurate computerised records and files. An ability to organise and present information both verbally and in writing is required along with experience of working in an environment with a high degree of customer contact. You will work closely with other members of the administrative and academic team, as required.

The successful applicants will also have a range of GCSEs, including English Language and Maths at Grade C/Grade 4 or above, or appropriate equivalent experiential learning and the ability to work consistently under pressure, prioritise work and meet deadlines. The Ideal Candidate

Having experience in retail isn\'t essential. We’ll show you how to use the tills and find stock.

It can get pretty busy in store, so you’ll need to be comfortable being on your feet, working at a fast pace and OK changing your priorities during each shift.

We look for people to work across 1000+ stores over the festive season so you might be able to work across a few close-by stores if you are available for more hours. This is optional and we’ll chat to you in your interview more about how this would work.

Outline of the role

What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking to appoint a Business Services Assistant.The successful candidate will provide operational support to the Business Manager, academy and trust. They will be primarily involved with:

• Effective Administration & filing
• Minute taking and confidential administrative support
• Coordination of academy visits, travel & accommodation
• Systems support and reporting
• Maintaining records of staff absences
• Recruitment and Selection and process new appointments
• Involved with HR, Health & Safety information and advice
• Support Single Central Record maintenance
• Support day to day payroll and expenses enquiries.
• Support Finance and the procurement of goods and the processing of insurance claims
• Support with GDPR on site

Red Rose Insurance in Blackburn are recruiting for an Apprentice PA Business Assistant. The successful candidate will work towards completing a Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship over the duration of 18 months.

Job Details:
- Use company systems to complete tasks set for them.
- Tasks would include ringing insurers and updating clients.
- Updating client files with information.
- Updating clients.
- Using programs such as Outlook, Excel, Word, as well our own systems.
- Marketing tasks, learning to:
- Helping with the social media, Facebook, Linkedin and Twitter.

Requirements:
- Excellent communication,
- Organisational skills
- Telephone manner is essential for this role.
- Experience in photoshop/adobe packages

GCSE Requirements:
GCSE 9-7 in maths and English

Hours of work:
Monday and Wednesday, 1pm-7pm. Tuesday and Thursday, 10am-7pm. Friday, 10am-4pm. 30 mins paid break. 36 hours per week.
