The EEU is a new Unit formed to support the identification, support and facilitation of research, innovation and enterprise activity at the University. The Enquiries team within EEU will be the first point of contact for our ‘front door model’, for enquirers and as such you will be expected to have an excellent knowledge of what the university can offer and how we can support enquirers.

As part of the Research and Enterprise Service, EEU contributes to the delivery of the University’s strategic objectives particularly in relation research and knowledge exchange. The enquiries team within EEU will have specific responsibility for capturing enquiries, logging them on our CRM system and then triaging them to determine their flow through the organisation ensuring that enquiries are dealt with in a professional manner. This role will provide general administrative support to deliver these activities.

The successful applicant will have demonstrable experience of current administrative/clerical practices in a busy office environment and experience of customer service, organising, updating and maintaining accurate computerised records and files. An ability to organise and present information both verbally and in writing is required along with experience of working in an environment with a high degree of customer contact. You will work closely with other members of the administrative and academic team, as required.

The successful applicants will also have a range of GCSEs, including English Language and Maths at Grade C/Grade 4 or above, or appropriate equivalent experiential learning and the ability to work consistently under pressure, prioritise work and meet deadlines. A collaborative approach to working and a commitment to continuous improvement is also an essential component of the role. DUTIES

In our Festive Sales Advisers, we look for a positive mindset, people who can support their team to get things done and enjoy getting involved. Your role at Superdrug as one of our Festive Sales Advisers will be all about serving customers where you will deliver excellent service and make sure customers don’t miss out on any of our great Star Buys. You’ll help ensure that the store is well stocked, and a high level of store presentation is maintained and will actively be involved in achieving the store targets. To support your development, you’ll also can be trained in ear and nose piercing to support our fast-growing piercing business in store.

It is a great experience that will prepare you for even bigger challenges. Superdrug Festive Sales Advisers are extremely important to us, we recognise that you are our future Team Leaders. We will actively develop your skills and offer real career progression supported by our excellent in-house training and Apprenticeship qualifications.

• Confident and clear communication skills
• Passionate about retail and customer service
• Desire to learn and improve your knowledge/skills
• Willingness to carry out piercing services for our customers (training provided) (Optional)
• Flexible in working hours and adaptable to change

The Role

As a Christmas Sales Assistant your role is to spread some holiday cheer and help us deliver the Perfect Service for our customers. Becoming part of our dedicated store team, you’re customer focused, can handle the festive rush and enjoy working as part of a team.

Contracted Hours: 4
Contract Type: Temporary

Pay Rate: £8.10 - £12.00 per hour

What You'll Do:

• Welcome customers with a smile and craft a VIP-worthy experience.
• Offer our exclusive loyalty card to customers to maximise their future offers and potential savings.
• Showcase your gift-wrapping ability and personalise presents with ribbons.
• Take payments and process transactions quickly.
