Welcome to the Training Assurance and Safeguarding Team (TAS), part of the Rochdale’s award winning Adult Care Services department.

It’s an exciting time across Adult Care Services, as we continue on our change and transformation journey to truly make a difference to the lives of our residents.

We are looking for a highly motivated team player who is forward thinking with an eye for detail to join our expanding team.

As a Quality Assurance Support Officer you will work within the heart of the team ensuring quality across the service linked to our statutory functions and best practice within Adult Care.

The role will include a multitude of tasks including leading on surveys, collating, analysing reports along with disseminating results and findings.

Various quality assurance system checks including providing the team with various business support tasks.

This work helps us ensure that Adult Care is compliant with statutory responsibilities.

Your new role

My client are a multinational aerospace, defence and information security company, they are currently looking for a number of Product Assurance Engineers to join their team based in Preston.

The ideal candidate will be a pro-active problem solver with excellent communication and IT skills. You will have the ability to coordinate and manage programmes, forging relationships with all stakeholders and with the experience of delivering to customers requirements, within timescales and budgets.

What you'll be doing:

• Supporting engagement with the GCAP International Government Organisation (GIGO) as required across the engineering lifecycle meet the Secure by Design policy objectives
• Supporting the Engineering Disciplines, contributing to achieving assurance to the GIGO, ultimately achieving a Security Authority to Operate for the GCAP System
• Identifying the MODs requirements for assurance of the GCAP system
• Create a plan of how these requirements will be addressed within and across the programme
• Manage and act as the internal review for the assurance deliverables

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

• Degree educated in a STEM discipline or HND/HNC or time served experience with a clear understanding of the Engineering Lifecycle

• Knowledge of security accreditation/assurance processes and activities, although knowledge or airworthiness or quality processes may be beneficial

Desirable:

• Knowledge of Model Based Engineering approaches and the supporting methods and toolsets.

They are now seeking a QC Manager to join the team in their laboratory in Lancashire on a 12-month fixed term contract. This role will predominantly involve overseeing the Quality Control (QC) team in order to ensure the QC tests of raw materials, finished products as productions processes are performed correctly and in a time manner.
