Summary of the QC Lab Technician role
As the QC Lab Technician you will report directly to the QC Analytical Coordinator where the main purpose of your role will be to support the efficient running of the QC Analytical laboratory.
This is a site-based role at our facility in Cramlington, working Monday-Friday 37.5 hours per week.

Your responsibilities
- Organising and managing laboratory stores to ensure a constant supply of frequently utilised consumables and reagents, communicating with key suppliers.
- Maintaining laboratory cGMP standards.
- Handling materials safely, complying with COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) requirements.
- Disposing of waste safely.
- Calibrating and monitoring laboratory instrumentation/equipment.
- Packaging and shipping laboratory samples for shipment offsite.
- Performing assigned SAP transactions and organising purchase orders from a laboratory perspective.
- Preparing general bench reagents.
- Organising and managing laboratory documentation systems.

Requirements for the role - Minimum GCSE in Science.
- Ideally have some chemistry or laboratory work experience.
- Good planning, organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to consistently maintain high standards in the workplace.
- A positive willing and reliable attitude, providing good customer service to internal and external customers.
- IT literate in MS Office applications - Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook and Team's.
- Must be a team player with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
