As a SURFACE MAINTENANCE MECHANIC INSPECTOR, WG-5801-11, you will perform the following duties:

(1) Inspects a large variety of heavy-duty mobile equipment (i.e., combat, tactical, etc.) and automotive vehicles (i.e., attack tanks, large cranes, tank retrievers, fire trucks, bridge transporters, armored vehicle launched bridges, bulldozers, road graders, crawler tractors, power shovels, self propelled earth compacting equipment, self propelled artillery, etc.). May also inspect heavy artillery, small arms, powered support and other equipment or components of equal or lesser complexity. May assist higher-graded inspectors to perform inspections on equipment repairs.

(2) Inspects complex, interrelated mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic and electrical systems, equipment and their components while in operation or in a standby condition. Inspects and performs tests to braking, steering, and differential systems, which are mechanically integrated with the transmission; to large engines, which directly power multiple hydraulic and pneumatic systems; to intricate fuel injection systems; to turret stabilization systems; and to other systems combined in a single, complex mechanical assembly. Uses specially designed testing methods and test equipment such as computerized test sets, precision gauges, electronic sensors, injector test stands, engine scopes, etc., to assure that tolerance and safety factors have been met.

(3) Inspects equipment to determine repairs needed. Utilizes established Maintenance Expenditure Limits (MEL) to evaluate economic feasibility of repair(s). Considers a variety of factors such as cost and availability of parts, man-hours, and impact of time constraints on the mission to assess whether repair is economical. Recommends to a higher echelon to condemn equipment when the repair costs exceed the established MEL. Prepares lists of needed repairs, parts, and man-hours authorized. Performs in-process inspections to assure that equipment is being repaired in accordance with pertinent requirements. Performs final inspection, certifying that equipment is in satisfactory operating condition, or rejects the work and returns the equipment to the repair shop with specific reports prescribing additional repairs.

(4) Serves as inspector on Command Maintenance Evaluation Teams (COMET) and/or as a member of Maintenance Assistance and Instruction Teams (MAIT).

(5) Performs other duties as assigned.

• Manages Mission Assurance (MA) Program per DoDI 3020.45 with responsibility for implementation of wing-wide installation response and readiness.
• Coordinate, Draft, Plan, Integrate, and Execute all Mission-Focused Complex Mission Assurance and Readiness Exercises at EAFB.

The primary purpose of this position is: To provide air traffic control (ATC) services to military and civilian aircraft operating in a radar environment using instrument flight rules (IFR) and visual flight rules (VFR) providing for the safe, orderly, and expeditious flow of air traffic. To provide non-radar approach control services in allocated airspace, in the event of radar outages.

As a ASOC Interface & Procedural Control Instructor, GS-2101-11 you will:

Perform the full range of WG-5823-10 duties and responsibilities. Possess the knowledge and skills found at the journey level as well as those required for planning, accomplishing, and maintaining a functional shop maintenance program.

Plan and lay out work to be accomplished in the shop, which is then completed by the incumbent and lower graded mechanic(s). Independently determine appropriate maintenance procedures such as how and when the work should be accomplished. Estimate manpower, equipment and material requirements. Devise and maintain all program plans and records, skilled in surveillance and troubleshooting techniques, and is able to determine maintenance/repair procedures needed without benefit of technical supervisory guidance. Plan, organize and direct shop maintenance programs/procedures under general supervision. Determine approach, methods and courses of action required to accomplish the mission of the shop in an effective and efficient manner.

May provide recommendations and input to the supervisor concerning personnel actions such as performance appraisals, awards, position descriptions changes, disciplinary actions, leave, etc. Implement safety regulatory requirements. Ensure that other workers in the shop wear appropriate safety equipment and follow pertinent safety precautions.

The following are the duties of this position at the full working level.

• Plans and conducts independent examinations and related investigations of a variety of individual and business taxpayers involving complex tax issues and accounting records and typical methods.

(1) Serves as the Office of Primary Responsibility (OPR) for wing maintenance policy, advising supervisors and employees on both general policy and specific maintenance matters. Utilizes a comprehensive knowledge and ability to interpret Air Force Instructions, Technical Orders, engineering drawings, product specifications, Air Force Occupational and Health (AFOSH) and environmental standards, public law, and locally developed policy. Evaluates and assesses complex systems, subsystems, integrated systems/subsystems, or components for conformance to applicable technical data, engineering drawings, standards and specifications. Evaluates, conducts reviews, activity inspections and management compliance of all maintenance activities to include the logistics maintenance support functional areas such as production, programs and mobility, maintenance training, plans, scheduling and documentation and data base management as directed by the Maintenance Group Commander. Reviews all Operating Instructions (OIs) to ensure locally published instructions are technically accurate, complete and consistent with Air Force (AF) and Major Command (MAJCOM) policy. Coordinates with affected commanders on base and ensures the instruction is published as a wing operating instruction. Serves as a key team member in collating and reporting compliance metrics to Major Command(s).

(2) Maintenance Standardization Evaluation Program (MSEP): Administers, evaluates, and coordinates a comprehensive quality assurance, maintenance standardization, and inspection program for all areas of the maintenance organization, all maintenance disciplines, job series and Air Force Specialty Codes (AFSCs). Evaluates the quality of maintenance accomplished in the maintenance organization and performs the necessary quality functions to execute the MSEP, designed to provide management an objective sampling of both the quality of equipment and the proficiency of maintenance personnel. Ensures the maintenance organization meets its responsibility for air-worthy aircraft and component quality for a broad and complex production workload, e.g., highly advanced aircraft, aircraft systems, avionics systems, electronic equipment, aircraft structures, composites, life safety systems, armament, munitions, and other areas of similar complexity. Participates in a review of the organization's quality plans, procedures and practices to assure adequacy and compliance to local and higher-level directives.

(a) Executes the evaluation program and accumulates data using Inspection and Evaluation techniques such as Task Evaluations, Quality Verification Inspections, Special Inspections, Personnel Evaluations and Management Inspections. Evaluates the quality of in-process and after-the-fact maintenance and ensures prescribed technical and management procedures are followed. Serves as the subject matter expert for critical assessment programs such as; Unit Self Inspections, Maintenance Standardization, Operational Readiness and Unit Compliance Inspections. Responsible for the development and maintenance of organizational level checklists. Ensures metrics are established and monitored to assess key result areas for successful mission accomplishment including, but not limited to, items where non-compliance would affect system reliability or result in serious injury, loss of life, excessive cost, or litigation. Evaluates the proficiency of assigned personnel in the execution of assigned maintenance tasking through Personnel Evaluations (PEs). (b) Monitors and assesses the organization's quality program and elements of the program to gauge compliance with directives and established processes. Identifies deficiencies, implements corrective measures, and improves processes to enhance mission effectiveness and efficiency. Ensures safety, security, and Consolidated Tool Kit (CTK) programs are followed in accordance with applicable regulations and public law through the routine inspection of work centers.

Responsible for the total airworthiness of Aero Club aircraft. Plans, organizes and directs task as required. Assures task are completed within the require time frames and reviews the work of aircraft mechanics to ensure completion. Troubleshoots and determines when the nature and scope of repair can be handled personally or should involve other mechanics; and coordinates their work as necessary. Serves as the technical authority to advise on, examine, and approve all airframe, mechanical, electrical, and hydralic repairs to Aero Club aircraft. As necessary, grounds the aircraft when the severity of a malfunction warrants, and may be responsible for releasing the aircraft to service after repairs are completed.Performs aircraft inspections including pre-flight, post-flight, phase, and other scheduled and unscheduled inspections. Tests and checks or oversees such actions by others, with test equipment and standards. Uses all tools of the trade, test equipment, test stands, power sources, cockpit instruments, gauges, and controls in performing assigned duties. Checks all functional and support systems, assess pilot comments, operates the engine(s), and may taxi aircraft. As a Joint Interface Control Analyst, GS-0301-12, you will apply broad and expansive knowledge and education of military, civil, and data link capabilities in support of AOC operations. Responsible to the CONR JICO in the daily execution and personnel training of the multi-TDL operation in and around the CONUS which includes working with all U.S. and Canadian military services. Responsible for conducting the continued planning, re-planning and problem resolution to establish, execute, and maintain an effective long-term CONR data link architecture and OPTASKLINK in the face of technology change, increasing amount of data link assets, and increasingly complex operational interoperability issues. Responsible to maintain an understanding of the various weapon systems' data link capabilities and limiting factors with regards to protocols, bandwidth, and message implementation. Responsible to maintain functional knowledge of AOC command and control (C2) equipment in the nee cell and HCC equipment room. This includes operations, test and training with regards to appropriate message filters, network data load, crypto, assigned frequency, and network timing. Responsible to act as the watch officer responsible for the daily operation of the nee and for providing an accurate single integrated air picture (SIAP) to all network participants in and around the CONUS to maintainairspace control and safety of flight for operational and training assets. Authorizes and directs real-time changes to OPTASKLINK parameters to include data load, crypto, frequency, time slots, or network timing to trouble shoot and deconflict multi-TDL operations, test and training across the area of operation. As a Theater Aerospace Operations Command and Control Officer, GS-2101-12, you will administer refresher and advanced training to ANG military AOC weapons systems positional specialists. Instructs rated pilots, navigators, air battle managers, space operations specialists, and other AOC assigned personnel in advanced aerospace operations applications using current AOC systems of record. Instructs and evaluates all AOC specialists to become instructors. Instructs such personnel to function within established joint doctrinal principles to plan and prosecute theater-level joint operations.
