1. Serve as senior team member in quality assurance staff assistance visits and oversight inspections.
2. Plan, schedule, and facilitate Quality Assurance Staff Assistance Visit (SAV) and Oversight inspection (OJ) events within schedules and priorities set by higher management.
3. Identify systemic issues or processes that require further analysis and improvement.
4. Serve as the team subject matter expert on site visits to other Air Logistics Centers, Product Centers, Test Centers, other government organizations and/or contractor facilities to observe applications of repair, manufacturing, overhaul technologies, administrative and support processes.

As an QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST, GS-1910-11, you will:

• Determine the proficiency and qualifications of certified personnel.
• Make decisions and recommendations on technical concerns presented by supervisors.
• Ensure that quality considerations are addressed and requirements achieved for all aircraft maintenance work and support functions to ensure end items perform as intended with reliability.
• Serve as the Quality Assurance Specialist for the planning, implementation and execution of a quality assurance program that includes the full range of quality principles, concepts, inspection techniques, surveillance and evaluation.

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

• Create a variety of specialized reports to assist with QMS operational activities including budget cost containment, resource and expenditure management, strategic planning, and work simplification.
• Complete the Annual Call for budget, oversight of various fund control points, managing and tracking various fund control points and reconciling purchases on a recurring basis throughout the fiscal year.
• Work with the Financial Resources Management Service to review for accuracy and validity of the QMS budget and fund control management.
• Coordinate data collection and analysis; utilize Process Improvement principles to determine organizational performance especially as it relates to facilitate the ongoing monitoring and/or sustainment of improved performance measures.
• Participate in planning for major projects involving Process Improvement and collaborates in the development and documentation of long and short-range planning goals and objectives.
• Plan, develop, direct and coordinate the organization of data/processes to ensure thorough and timely review of MCMs, VHA Directives and VHA Handbooks to ensure VASDHS compliance with all requirements.

The DCQM provides executive leadership and direct supervision over the following areas: Accreditation, Risk Management, External Peer Review, and Patient Safety. SUMMARY OF DUTIES: The purpose of this position is to provide trained and qualified Air and Space Operations Center (AOC) Command and Control (C2) warriors to augment MAJCOM deployable AOCs worldwide at the operational level of war. The state mission is to provide support to civil authorities, as directed by the Governor, for disaster relief, public safety, search and rescue, and civil defense, and Continuity of Operations. Must be trained and ready to function in a senior level position in a coalition AOC reporting to the C/JFACC at the 3-star level. Accordingly, must direct all actions that prepare unit members to perform at the operational level of war in an AOC. Responsibility to possess a working knowledge of all Air Force Weapon Systems and their capabilities, as well as a clear understanding of the systems and capabilities of other DOD components, NATO nations, and other coalition partners. This mastery level knowledge is required to sustain the development and execution of a daily Air Tasking Order for a minimum of 30 days at 500 missions per day. Due to the unique mission of the, C-MAJCOM, this PD cannot be used in any other organization.

Under direction of management develops schedule to ensure the Quality Assurance Evaluation Program is conducted in accordance with Air Force (AF) Standards. Inspects lodging rooms, buildings, grounds, parking lots and other areas such as offices, day rooms, hallways and storage areas for quality and quantity of work performed by all employees. Evaluates and updates all general room instructions to include: guest directories, fire evacuation procedures, equipment instructions, sundry price listings, and informational signage. Corrects publications as required. Reviews guest feedback, analyzes data, and informs Lodging Manager of issues or areas requiring correction. Tracks trends in performance and conducts hospitality specific training to improve overall guest service and compliance with established standards. Responsible for monitoring the Lodging Educational Institute training program in accordance with Air Force Lodging standards. Works with section supervisors to determine training needs. Tracks courses required to maintain or earn hospitality certifications. Oversees and manages the in-house training program. Oversees small study groups or self-directed studies as needed to complete lodging courses. Coordinates with Lodging Manager and Assistant Manager to establish and maintain budgets for staff development, incentives, and recognition items. Ensures completion of hospitality training required for certification with AH&LA/ Educational Institute.
