The Inspector General's mission is to conduct independent and objective audits, investigations, and evaluations; prevent and detect waste, fraud, and abuse; promote economy, effectiveness, and efficiency; review pending legislation and regulation; and keep the agency head and Congress fully and currently informed. The incumbent serves as the FTC's Inspector General (IG) and administers and supervises a program of audits, reviews, and investigations designed to prevent and detect fraud, waste, and mismanagement in the programs and operations carried out by the Commission.

As the principal advisor and consultant to the Commission and Chair regarding the IG program, the incumbent designs a strategy that will assist in maintaining an atmosphere within the FTC that promotes the highest standard of integrity and accountability by ensuring a credible and impartial FTC IG system. The IG directs a broad and comprehensive inspector general program by providing executive leadership, coordination, strategic planning, and control over management of the OIG to assure balanced, comprehensive support and guidance of office-wide operations. The IG is responsible for establishing policy, overseeing program direction, and providing the necessary planned guidance in carrying out the OIG's objectives and a wide range of goals and initiatives.

The IG provides executive leadership, oversight and strategic authoritative policy direction for audits and investigations relating to the programs and operations of the Commission, and to prevent and detect fraud and abuse in such programs and operations. As a recognized authority and consultant, the IG exercises a high degree and professional competence in developing long-range strategies and goals to minimize the opportunities for the occurrence of fraud and waste and develops new theoretical and novel techniques and systems for the detection of fraud or the promotion of economy and efficiency in agency operations.

The IG also provides and issues comprehensive and defensible audit reports to the Chair for corrective action with respect to audit findings of deficiencies and for changes in agency policies, procedures, practices, and operations based on audit findings; and directs the preparation of, and issues audit reports on, matters involving agency policies, procedures, regulations, and other directives.

In addition, the IG provides leadership and direct and indirect supervision for the activities of the personnel and staff consisting of attorneys, and audit and investigative specialists in accomplishing the OIG's goals and objectives. Ensures management techniques and policies are based on sound organization, position, management, and federal employment practices. Performs human resource management functions relative to the staff supervised: establishes performance expectations, which are clearly communicated; provides informal and formal feedback and evaluates staff on organizational performance; resolves informal complaints and grievances; takes personnel actions, as necessary; provides advice and counsel to staff members and subordinate managers related to work and policy matters; and effects disciplinary measures.

Provides executive leadership to design, develop, and implement the strategic vision for enhanced identity assurance. Collaborates with senior IRS executives to align people, processes, and technology initiatives to achieve this strategic vision and continuously monitor performance, identify risks and weaknesses, while also preserving the IRS's reputation as a premier governmental steward of private taxpayer data. Briefs all levels of IRS management as well as external stakeholders on IRS identity assurance developments. Prepares input to testimony and may participate in Congressional hearings related to IRS identity assurance matters.
• Leads development of business requirements for identity assurance, including the development and prioritization of business justifications and the establishment and monitoring of performance measures for initiatives. Assesses taxpayer needs, capabilities, and expectations to determine appropriate channels for optimal service delivery. Collaborates with the Chief Privacy Officer and other senior IRS executives to generate, develop, prioritize, and execute the portfolio of identity assurance activities/services/mitigations. Manages and chairs Advisory/Executive Steering Committee(s) that are composed of stakeholders from across IRS and responsible for oversight of the development of identity assurance program.
• Partners with other federal agencies, private industry, and international organizations to stay current with new technologies and assess trends and related practices in the identity assurance industry and evolving patterns in taxation. Consults with the Chief Privacy Officer in the design and implementation of security measures (standards and systems) to ensure the measures comply with policy and legal requirements and provides effective protection of taxpayer privacy. Partners with internal organizations, such as Records Management and Disclosure, to coordinate privacy aspects of regulatory adherence to email, instant message and other electronic files management policies and the control of sensitive information. Partners with Information Technology and Cybersecurity to develop and deploy innovative technologies to ensure a secure environment for taxpayers to interact with IRS.
• Ensures Service-wide adherence with identity assurance principles and National Institute of Standards and Technology's (NIST) digital identity guidelines technical requirements through a robust risk assessment process that looks at business processes for risks to identity assurance. Regularly assesses all applicable controls to the current environment identifying gaps and mitigations. Typical day as Technical Quality Manager

You have

• Experience of the full development process with a residential developer, contractor or consultant in the construction or housebuilding industry. You’ll have a good technical knowledge in identifying defects, snags and general construction quality in new homes.

- Responsible for the delivery of all 132KV EHV/HV network operations and control activities.
- Knowledge on Switching on DNO/iDNO and private network 132KV EHV and HV networks.
- Issuing and receiving of safety documents on the iDNO networks as applicable.
- Supporting the delivery of power outage works, across the plant, and the associated project and contract management skills
- Electrical 132KV EHV/HV/LV Engineering experience across a wide range of systems.
- Undertaking of engineering studies, O&Ms, technical specifications…etc
- Producing technical reports in related to the electricity distribution network.
- Project management of large-scale Data Centres, and Battery Storage sites
- Experience being as the primary point of contact for on-site engineers who will carry out works on our iDNO network.
- Developing scoping documentation and Main Connections or Protection Diagrams (MC&P)
- Help on specifying and managing related equipment and plant such as relays, CTs and VTs.
- Review, assess detailed designs including SLDs, AC/DC schematics, and protection system.
- Previous experience working in design or commissioning of power system protection, ideally at a distribution level 132KV EHV, HV, and LV on DNO/iDNO networks.
- Support on standby and out of hours coverage of electricity faults and emergencies.


Who we are looking for

- Experience working within an electrical operations 132KV EHV, HV, and LV systems.
- Knowledge of UK electrical practices and standards
- Knowledge of Standard ICP or Electricity construction.
- Good knowledge of network operation and maintenance.
- Experience of working in electricity distribution networks.
- Procurement of, tendering and management of major service and refurbishment contracts
- Technical officer, contract management, assigning appropriate work skills to enable delivery
- Candidates must demonstrably work knowledge of electrical distribution network design and construction standards.
- Working knowledge of the CDM regulations and the role of principal engineer.

Responsibilities
* Ensure food safety and quality objectives are always met
* Responsible for covering all the areas (Low Risk/High Care) as per rota
* Review out of specification results and implementing corrective actions
* Investigating customer complaints
* Responsible for maintaining WIP, raw material and finished product specifications
* Ensure that GMP standards are maintained within all areas of the company and that all current legislation, all systems, and procedures are adhered too.
* Auditing all production paperwork daily according to BRC/Customer requirements
* Verify all production paperwork on daily basis and conduct traceability as requested
* Implement operational changes with technical guidelines
* Take actions for non-conformances which are rectified in relations to laid down systems and procedures.
* Provide training to operational staff as and when required
* Assist with new product development, sample preparation, production trials, DAF plant monitoring and taste panel as required
