This Supervisory Transportation Security Specialist (Director, International Compliance Division) position is located in the Compliance, Security Operations (SO), Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Ensures International Compliance staff meet objectives and deadlines set by the AA/DAA for Compliance or higher authority. Ensures compliance with overall directives; establishes management controls for staff activities; provides a means for evaluating organizational accomplishments; and directs and implements process improvements for procedures.
- Advises the AA/DAA for Compliance on matters affecting the strategic and operational direction of Compliance.
- Applies expert level knowledge and a thorough understanding of the principles of management and strategic planning, and the ability to integrate the work of multiple organizational components, projects, and/or programs to accomplish mission objectives. Developing and presenting briefings, speeches, issue papers, and background/talking points on a wide range of issues of interest to high level officials.
Using advanced technical knowledge and experience, oversees the implementation of the FAAP and international regulated entities inspection programs. Demonstrates expert knowledge of regulations and international compliance. - In collaboration with the AA/DAA for Compliance, lays out the overall goals to further TSA's evolution into a high performing counter-terrorism organization. Supports implementation of emerging initiatives aimed at continuous improvement of the effectiveness and efficiency of transportation security; encourages collaboration, information sharing, and engagement with internal and external domestic and international stakeholders to support the security of the worldwide transportation network.
- Provides direct management guidance and supervision for the Regional Operations Center (ROC) Directors.
- Monitors organizational performance metrics in accordance with TSA mission, vision, goals, and objectives; continually assesses the effectiveness of operations and programs and adjusts as needed to meet emerging priorities
