The following are the duties of this position at the GS-12. If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties, and will receive training to help you grow in this position.
As a Grants Management Specialist (Government Technical Representative), you will:
- Utilize management information systems to manage grant awards and make recommendations to management on uses of management information systems to improve the administrative and programmatic aspects of the program.
- Monitor awardees' performance, including progress against the approved work plan, performance schedules, and budget. Review and make recommendations on awardees' payment requests and financial reports.
- Conduct close-out schedules for technical assistance grantees, provide final written evaluation of grantees' performance and conduct follow-up with field office staff on final Government Technical Representative (GTR) reports where necessary.
- Participate in work groups and teams to review and develop policies, procedures, or guidelines to standardize procedures and to increase effectiveness of office operations and the Technical Assistance program. Solicit input from grantees and applicants to develop policy recommendations for improved administration of the technical assistance programs. Communicate recommendations to senior staff and the Director accordingly.
