The Role


Reporting directly to the Quality Leads you'll assist them in solving complex, challenging issues and help ensure Quality Delivery ways of working are effective in achieving right first-time delivery.

You’ll be supporting the Quality Leads in managing daily PDO Quality QA/QC activities, including creating, reviewing, updating and reporting on PDO Quality governance, manufacturing/construction documents.

You’ll have opportunities to take ownership and drive improvements, such as developing processes and procedures, audit plans, implementing new methodologies using problem solving techniques to identify and resolve issues.

You’ll enjoy the opportunity to occasionally travel to project locations within the UK in order to achieve close collaboration with our wider project team members and other stakeholders.

The Skills


Who You Are

You’ll have experience of working in the Manufacturing/Construction/Engineering industry and experience of working within an ISO 9001 operating environment.

You’ll also have experience of working within a project environment. Experience in implementing and maintaining Quality Governance frameworks in accordance with regulatory requirements and project specifications.

Proficiency developing and reviewing QA-related procedures, templates and forms, with a solid grasp of QA best practices.

Experience conducting quality checks, identifying non-conformances and implementing corrective and preventive actions.

Competent in producing, tracking and analysing quality key performance indicators (KPIs) and creating QA Dashboards.

You’ll be IT literate with Microsoft Office tools, particularly Outlook and SharePoint.

Experience in QA/QC and use of reporting tools, with a focus on continuous improvement.

You’ll be organised, have a good attention to detail, with a structured approach to work planning and execution.

The Role
You’ll have experience of Quality Assurance process, internal and external audit and functional oversight of organisation as and when required, within the SZC organisation.

You’ll provide quality assurance expertise in the task of obtaining relevant international quality certification, arranging internal audits and oversight of the project’s processes.

The Quality Assurance Auditor/Engineer will plan and have executed internal audits of the organisation in a harmonised manner as required to achieve international certification for the project and provide functional reports prior to onward transmittal throughout the project.

The Skills


You’ll have experience in Quality Assurance processes, internal or external auditing and functional oversight of organisations. Previous experience in Managing Certifications Audits would be beneficial.

It’s important that you have experience of working in a construction or large infrastructure environment, particularly oil and gas, or rail, nuclear, etc.

Knowledge of the nuclear industry would be beneficial but not essential.

The Role

As the Nuclear Compliance Senior Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of nuclear compliance for the Sizewell C project. You will ensure that the project adheres to all applicable nuclear regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines. This role requires a deep understanding of nuclear regulations, strong leadership skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive nuclear compliance program for Sizewell C.
- Ensure compliance with all nuclear regulatory requirements, including those set by the Office for Nuclear Regulation (ONR) and the Environment Agency.
- Lead and manage the compliance team, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to monitor compliance and identify areas for improvement.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies, industry groups, and other external stakeholders to ensure alignment with best practices and regulatory expectations.
- Provide expert advice on nuclear compliance matters to senior management and project teams.
- Prepare and submit compliance reports to regulatory authorities as required.
- Investigate and resolve any compliance issues or incidents, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in nuclear regulations and industry standards, ensuring the project remains in compliance.
- Foster a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement within the organisation.


Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in nuclear compliance, regulatory affairs, or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of nuclear regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines.
- Proven experience in leading and managing compliance teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

The Role
You’ll ensure supply-chain adherence to the contracted quality assurance and quality control requirements, as well as supporting the Quality Director and Quality Delivery Managers with achieving adherence with the Integrated Management System arrangements.
Additionally, you’ll act as ‘Intelligent Customer’ in the capacity of ensuring that arrangements are in place, and effectively implemented by the supply chain, building on the lessons learned from the Hinkley Point C (HPC).
You’ll help to:
Develop and implement quality assurance and quality control arrangements across the SZC organization.
Lead the review, acceptance, and monitoring of Contractors Quality Assurance Plans (CQAP).
Produce Project Quality Control Plans (PQCP) and ensure compliance with key quality contractual arrangements.
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including contracted inspection entities.
Perform audits, surveillance, and joint inspections to maintain quality standards.
Lead the resolution of non-conformances and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Review and deliver end-of-manufacturing records for equipment release.
The Skills
You’ll need to have experience in project delivery, preferably in the nuclear power sector, with a focus on project quality.
A solid understanding of Quality Assurance and Quality Control in engineering, procurement, manufacturing, construction, and commissioning will be key.
Knowledge of Quality Systems, ISO standards, and ideally nuclear sector regulations.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships.
Proven leadership experience and the ability to influence and provide constructive challenge.
Experience in supplier management and performing supplier audits.

Your Role
As our Head of Corporate Compliance and Ethics, you'll be the linchpin in designing, developing and ensuring that Sizewell C has a best in class compliance programme which aligns with the Sizewell C vision of “The Power of Good for Britain”. This senior role demands a visionary leader with exceptional ethical judgement who can inspire, develop and implement a holistic corporate compliance framework in a complex environment. At Sizewell C we believe in bringing a lasting change for the better and, alongside the usual requirements across anti-bribery and corruption, fraud, modern slavery and whistleblowing, this role will engage closely with our ESG and wider teams to ensure we are meeting the highest standards in business ethics.
You'll work closely with internal stakeholders (particularly ESG, risk and commercial) with a direct line into the Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee, to ensure full integration of corporate compliance controls into the Sizewell C project. Sizewell C has a complex group of stakeholders and our ethics and compliance arrangements need to meet the high expectations of external investors, lenders, HMG, regulators and our local communities – this is a huge opportunity for someone to develop a compliance programme which defines future models for wider energy, construction and infrastructure projects.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Quality Leads you will assist them in solving complex, challenging issues and help ensure Quality Delivery ways of working are effective in achieving right first-time delivery.

You’ll enjoy the opportunity to occasionally travel to project locations within the UK to achieve close collaboration with our wider project team members and other stakeholders.

You’ll be supporting the Quality Leads in managing daily PDO Quality QA/QC activities, including creating, reviewing, updating and reporting on PDO Quality governance, manufacturing/construction documents.

You’ll have opportunities to take ownership and drive improvements, such as developing processes and procedures, audit plans, implementing new methodologies using problem solving techniques to identify and resolve issues.


The Skills
You’ll have experience of working in the Manufacturing/Construction/Engineering industry and experience of working within an ISO 9001 operating environment.

Ideally, you’ll also have experience of working within a project environment. As a minimum educated to HNC/HND qualification level in a science/engineering based subject, or equivalent qualification.

You’ll be IT literate with Microsoft Office tools, particularly Outlook and SharePoint.

Experience in QA/QC and use of reporting tools.

Experience of capturing and driving continuous improvement methods and tools.

The Role
You’ll work closely with the SCZ functions to ensure that project quality is delivered consistently, safely and efficiently.

Specifically, your key objective is to ensure that project quality is delivered within the SZC Programmes and by the Programme’s supply chain, consistently (safely, efficiently and right first time) compliant with the SZC supply chain project General Quality Assurance Specification (GQAS), ISO9001/19443 and the principles of IAEA GSR2. Quality delivery is considered to be essential to the Project success, from inception to operational handover, respecting Nuclear Safety as paramount at all times.

As well as being accountable to the Programme Director, the Quality Delivery Manager is responsible for complying with processes and procedures defined by the Quality function, which is responsible for defining and maintaining the quality management arrangements for all of SZC. The Quality Delivery Manager will regularly report to the PDO Quality Director through the Senior Manager of Quality Delivery on all aspects of quality management within their Programme including the quality compliance and performance of the contracted supply chain in the Programme

Additionally, you’ll have specific interaction with the manufacturing inspection teams, the site surveillance teams, commercial Supply Chain and with the Document Control and Records team to ensure that a coordinated and collaborative quality delivery strategy is applied for the Programme.

The Skills
You’ll be a Quality professional ideally with expert knowledge in quality delivery, have significant experience in ensuring compliance with National and International standards such as IAEA GSR2 and ISO 9001/19443.

An understanding of Nuclear Site Licence conditions would be beneficial but is not essential.

You’ll have experience with supervising and managing teams, and the ability to influence and encourage change of behaviours across a wide range of organisational levels.

What do you need to be great at this role?

You’ll be qualified to NEBOSH Diploma level or equivalent and have appropriate Environmental experience and/or Renewable’s experience in addition to:

- Competence in auditing and compliance assessments, the provision of management reports and identification of corrective actions.
- All round knowledge of EDF HSE aspirations and requirements or ability to learn in role.

Our teams are set up to work flexibly, with a hybrid working approach between our offices and your home. We provide a full suite of IT equipment to ensure that our employees can work from home comfortably and effectively.

The Role
You’ll ensure supply-chain adherence to the contracted quality assurance and quality control requirements, as well as supporting the Quality Director and Quality Delivery Managers with achieving adherence with the Integrated Management System arrangements.
Additionally, you’ll act as ‘Intelligent Customer’ in the capacity of ensuring that arrangements are in place, and effectively implemented by the supply chain, building on the lessons learned from the Hinkley Point C (HPC).
You’ll help to:
Develop and implement quality assurance and quality control arrangements across the SZC organization.
Lead the review, acceptance, and monitoring of Contractors Quality Assurance Plans (CQAP).
Produce Project Quality Control Plans (PQCP) and ensure compliance with key quality contractual arrangements.
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including contracted inspection entities.
Perform audits, surveillance, and joint inspections to maintain quality standards.
Lead the resolution of non-conformances and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Review and deliver end-of-manufacturing records for equipment release.
The Skills
You’ll need to have experience in project delivery, preferably in the nuclear power sector, with a focus on project quality.
A solid understanding of Quality Assurance and Quality Control in engineering, procurement, manufacturing, construction, and commissioning will be key.
Knowledge of Quality Systems, ISO standards, and ideally nuclear sector regulations.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships.
Proven leadership experience and the ability to influence and provide constructive challenge.
Experience in supplier management and performing supplier audits.
