• Performs Major Command (MAJCOM)-level inspector duties for formal inspections covering a wide array of nuclear and conventional operational mission and mission support tasks.
• Ensures MAJCOM, non-appropriated fund (NAF), and unit-level resource management policy and procedures guidance complies with existing laws, instructions, and regulations pertaining to operational and management (O&M) engineering involving maintenance, repair, upgrade, and operation of electrical circuits, equipment, and infrastructure systems with legal and regulatory requirements and meet customer needs.
• Evaluates unit installations, repair, and maintenance of lightning protection systems, munitions/weapons storage area electrical systems and other large commercial and industrial electrical systems with complex problems and extensive repairs.
• Evaluates work related to construction management, design, and programming/base development functions for compliance with existing laws, instructions, and regulations.
• Assesses unit compliance with health, safety, and environmental rules and procedures and performs work in a manner that enhances the safety of the work environment.

1. Performs Major Command (MAJCOM)-level inspector duties for formal inspections covering a wide array of nuclear and conventional operational mission and mission support tasks.
2. Performs Nuclear Surety (NSI), Unit Effectiveness Inspections (UEI), and other compliance/readiness inspections of all AFGSC Special Access Program (SAP) functions IAW governing instructions and regulatory guidance.
3. Provides technical assistance and support. Serves as the MAJCOM SAP Inspections technical expert.
4. Develops and provides program-specific inspection criteria on a wide range of Special Access Program (SAP) operations.
5. Represents Head Quarters (HQ) Air Force Global Strike Command (AFGSC) at conference, workshop, working group and meeting activities related to Special Access Programs compliance and inspection issues.

1. This position will support the Federal Government's response efforts to COVID-19.
2. Conducts an information program to elicit support and involvement in fire prevention, detection, and suppression. Performs regular and periodic fire protection inspections for all areas of the installation where the potential severity and expectancy for fire is high and involves hazards that are difficult to recognize and, once identified, require advanced or innovative methods to reduce or eliminate them.
4. Inspects, tests, and corrects deficiencies on a variety of fire protection systems, many of which are complex or designed for a specific operation or hazardous condition, (e.g., carbon dioxide cascade systems, halon total flood systems, heat rise detection systems, and interlock systems).
4. Reviews engineering plans and specifications for new construction, alteration, and extension of existing structures. Develops and maintains a variety of documentation such as fire prevention inspection schedules and facilities jackets on assigned facilities.
5. Complies with health, safety, and environmental rules and procedures and performs work in a manner that enhances the safety of the work environment.

• Observes, documents, and evaluates carrier and contractor performance.
• Counsels members regarding policies and procedures for the proper preparation of personal property for shipment and/or storage, including specialized items, to domestic and overseas locations.
• Prepares documentation reporting carrier performance using automated systems.
• Provides oversight of the Direct Procurement Method (DPM) contract.
