About the Procurement Officer role

As Procurement Officer you will:


Support Managers with all aspects of procurement and tendering for designated procurement projects providing professional advice and support at all stages, to ensure that an appropriate and legally compliant process is followed throughout.
Administer procurement systems including the e-tendering system and contracts register for designated procurement projects and contracts.
Monitor and obtain risk and credit reports on the suppliers, as requested from the Credit and Risk Reporting System.
Maintain a pipeline for all procurements relating to the designed categories.
Support Managers with all aspects of contract monitoring and management for designated contracts. Ensuring standards are set, met, and maintained and appropriate processes are followed where this is not the case.

We have an amazing opportunity for you to work as a full time Warehouse Operative to join our hardworking and welcoming team in Swindon, SN5 7JF. You will be part of a dedicated logistics team providing innovative and first class solutions!

Your pay rate as a Warehouse Operative is:

• Day Rate = £13.41p/h
• Night Rate = £17.07p/h (19:00pm until 06:00am)
• Overtime rate = £18.77p/h

What hours will you work as a warehouse Operative?

Rotating Shifts: 07:00 until 15:00 and Lates 15:00 until 23:00 (Rota 5 days from 7)

Your role as a Warehouse Operative:

• Working within the Freezer department.
• Use a state of the art voice system to pick and load goods onto pallets and cages
• Assist in the loading and unloading of vehicles
• Other general Warehouse Operative duties as required

As a Warehouse Operative you will also have access to:

• Regular temp to perm conversions after 12 weeks
• LLOP training and certification will be provided - no experience needed
• Subsidised Onsite canteen providing hot and cold food
• Guaranteed hours + overtime availability

All successful applicants will be required to pass Drug and alcohol tests prior to commencement of employment.

Assist and supervise for the training of staff as appropriate. Act as super user for the TCES catalogue, dealing with any errors and training staff in its use. Ensuring that staff follow the department COSHH and Health and Safety guidelines Keeping TCES/Procloud catalogue up to date, adding items once authorised to stock lists, and helping to review them with the clinical leads and service managers. Supporting and actioning product recalls by identifying affected stocks and arranging for items to be sent back to suppliers in line with relevant governance procedures. Undertaking routine stores duties as required. To ensure that the appropriate credits are obtained for items that have been returned to suppliers, wrongly invoiced and where contractors fail to meet their contractual obligations. To initiate and to maintain computerised records for stock items in accordance with Trust policies and procedures. To maintain a system for the identification of expiry dates or items nearing their expiry date and the prompt exchange, disposal or return for credit. Co-ordinate the accuracy and audit assessments for all staff involved in stock management duties. To keep records of assessments and ensure that periodical reviews take place. What does this role involve:

As an Assistant Store Manager, you support the Store Manager with the day to day running of the store and take full responsibility in their absence.
Inspiring and supporting staff and volunteers to deliver an excellent customer journey that reflect our values, our Assistant Store Managers contribute towards the success of their stores by:

Ensuring highest standard of customer service

Maintaining a high standard of visual merchandising
Maximising sales through physical and digital channels
Supporting with the recruitment and development of volunteers

Our stores are fast-paced and trade 7 days a week which means we require flexibility from our store teams to work weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis. 

Due to the volume of collections, deliveries and donations, it can be physically demanding at times, yet most rewarding as you play a part in helping to fund life-saving research.
