Your new role
You will be supporting the Procurement Director in establishing the value of procurement, with a direct focus on leading and managing the IT Category. You will be managing £50m worth of spend, as well as direct management of a small team reporting to you. The principal part of this role will be the full E2E procurement process of the IT category. A Market Data Category manager will be reporting into you, so market data exposure would be desirable.

Working within a high performing team, your role will be to procure air freight costs and flights, book and process export shipments on an allocation or adhoc basis to strict deadlines. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Capacity procurement and rate negotiation on scheduled flights, charter and part charter services.

You will also follow standard operating procedures (SOP's), create accurate accruals, recover compromised route plans, negotiate spot rates, increase or decrease allocations, optimise processes and support safe unit load device (ULD) builds and manage ULD equipment.
• Import: Truck planning and optimisation, ensuring a high level of communication with UK branch, Airport Transfer and warehouse colleagues in the UK, Frankfurt and Amsterdam; build strong relationships with stakeholders internally and externally too; Frankfurt Pallet Management, issue management, performance management, volume reporting, truck P&L responsibility and closing down outstanding customs matters.
• From a QSHE perspective you will ensure you cooperate with all stakeholders and are aware of company procedures and work instructions.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES

Our client is a well-established, growing charity retailer. They currently have an exciting opportunity to join them in the position of Senior Store Manager to manage their existing key store on Portobello Road, London.
As the Shop Manager your primary responsibility is to maximise income generation and ensure all targets are met and exceeded.

Responsibilities:

• You will work closely with the Area Manager so they can understand your stock requirements and be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and health & safety of the shop.
• Responsible for the smooth running of the store in accordance with company guidelines
• Deliver annual store financial and contribution targets.
• Deliver against store KPI's.
• Lead and develop your team.
• Recruitment and selection of new team members.
• Visual merchandising the store, maximising all opportunities.
• Driving new business into the store.
• Liaising with the local community.
• Recruiting volunteers for the store.

Experience required:

• Previous Store Manager experience within charity or retail.
• Have the ability to engage customers through outstanding communication, questioning and listening skills.
• KPI aware and driven.
• Experience of working to targets in a customer focused environment.
• Energy, drive and a positive can-do attitude.
• Flexible to cover store opening hours and weekends.
• Proven track record of successful delivery of a high growth, profitable operation.
• Experience in managing a large team of volunteers, including recruitment and development, as well as excellent customer service and supporter relationship building skills.
• An understanding of charity retail would be a distinct advantage and a passion for the charity sector.

Shift Patterns:

• Days 4 on 4 off - 06:00 - 18:00 / 06:30 - 18:30
• Nights 4 on 4 off 18:00 - 06:00 / 18:30 - 06:30

Pay Rates:

• £420 peak attendance bonus available
• From £11.54 p/h to up to £23.08 p/h
• Premium night: + £2.31 p/h (between 22:00 and 06:00)
• Overtime is paid at 1.5X rate
• Bank holidays paid at 2X rate

As a Warehouse Operative, you will need to have:

• Proficiency in spoken/written English and basic math skills
• Flexibility regarding shifts
• Ability to work well both individually and in a team
• Reliable with a positive attitude
• Quality checking skills & a keen eye for details
• Previous warehouse experience would be preferred but not essential as full training is being provided
