The position

• This full-time permanent position,you will be responsible for driving around the region based in and around Preston to complete audits on deliveries.
• Rate of pay: £24,082 per annum
• Weekly hours: 37.5 hours plus 30 min unpaid break
• Shift patterns 5 days out of 7 days, shifts between 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, 10pm-6am
• Working Environment: Ambient
• Full Driving License and access to your own transport is essential

A day in the life of a Warehouse Stock Operative

As a Mobile Accuracy Checker, you will work as part of a dynamic and supportive team in what can be described as a fast-paced and target driven environment to ensure the stock entering our customer store is accurate.

Job activities

• Audit the Inbound accuracy of multiple supplier deliveries at customer store level.
• Audit Picker accuracy of stock arriving at stores and fully investigate all errors found.
• Adhere to agreed audit and error verification procedures at all times.
• Maintain integrity at all times.
• Ensure the expected productivity levels are achieved, in line with customer expectations.
• Review daily targets in line with customer expectations.

Job specifics

• Able to actively respond to both verbal instructions and audible warning devices
• The ability to communicate well, both written and verbally.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
• You will be confident in their ability to add and subtract without the use of a calculator.
• Full Driving License and access to your own transport
• All work may require prolonged periods of standing and all employees will be required to kneel, bend and squat in order to access and work with low and ground level stock.

What you'll do:

• Extract, gather and analyse supplier data to identify trends and opportunities for improving ESG performance

Who you are:

This role would be ideal for a candidate with strong numerical and analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and a good understanding of data analysis and visualisation tools. An interest in sustainability and associated metrics/methodologies, such as carbon foot-printing and life cycle assessment. The role includes a structured professional development plan, leading to a Level 4 or 5 Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) qualification and progression to an Analyst role.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related fields/specialisms such as Economics, Market Research, Information Management, Statistics or Industrial Engineering.


• Work experience or internships in procurement, supply chain management, sustainability, or related fields.


• Understanding of procurement processes and supplier management.


• Basic knowledge of ESG principles, frameworks and reporting standards e.g. Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi),

Process requisitions for internal and external stakeholders onto the selected Procurement purchasing systems, Deal with reported discrepancies, shortages, returns for internal and external stakeholders in a proactive but diplomatic manner Operate within the LPC Policies and Procedures and display a high standard of professional conduct with stakeholders and suppliers. Report any problems or difficulties that cannot be resolved immediately. Assist and support the other members of the Procurement team in ensuring customer satisfaction with the service. Provide cover for other members of the Procurement team (such as annual leave/sickness) as and when required. On occasions, this role may involve cross site working or travel to other NHS or external organisations for training or work purposes. Any other duties within the general scope of the post and appropriate to the grading. Change of duties will be discussed with the post holder before implementation.
