The duties and responsibilities for a Procurement Analyst generally include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Overseeing the development and recommendations of policies and procedures in the functional area of procurement and acquisition.
• Assessing procurement programs and develop guidance to users across the agency.
• Advising management, contracting officers and procurement professionals on procurement actions.
• Evaluating the impact of statutory, regulatory, and government-wide policy changes on procurement programs and systems.

This is a bargaining unit position.

• Performs a variety of duties involved in receiving, handling, marking, preparing, displaying and maintaining the stock of resale items.
• Involves regular and recurring operation of forklift and may at store management discretion, include order writing tasks.
• Determines the amount of shelf space to be used for various items within a department and estimates the space requirements for new items or increased quantities.
• Receives supplies, equipment, and perishable, semi-perishable, and non-perishable resale items in the receiving area of the commissary.
• Verifies shipments by checking the shipping documents, making proper notations on the documents, and identifying any obvious spoilage, damage, overages, or shortages.
• Operates a computer system that marks prices, calculates prices, and determines weights of merchandise

• Conduct extensive searches for information pertaining to a wide range of complex and/or unusual supply transactions and patterns.
• Research problems surfaced by customers and resolve issues or routes to appropriate senior leadership for further analysis.
• Retrieve and use data to evaluate a wide variety of supply transactions, programs, and vendor inquiries.
• Evaluate various supply transactions to include customer issues, backorders, turn-ins, and receipts for mission critical property.
• Perform research to determine reasons for patterns of transaction errors and failures. Research different databases and publications to extract data.
• Analyze data from different databases to ensure consistency and accuracy.

THE ROLE

Due to an upturn in work we have immediate requirements for a team of Warehouse Operatives/Cage Handlers to join our client. If you like being active in a job role and have independence to get on with the job at hand, this is the role for you! Duties and tasks will include:

- You must be available to work a 5am start and be flexible to work all other shifts

- You will be working in a cold room food storage environment

- You will be loading/unloading cages of various food products from wagons

- Follow company processes and procedures at all times keeping in line with current Health & Safety policies

- Assist with maintenance of all warehouse areas and report damage/accidents

- Carry out any other reasonable task requested by your warehouse manager or team leader in their absence

THE PERSON

A good attitude and high level of stamina is key for this role as well as the following specifications:

- You must be available to work a 5am start and be flexible to work all other shifts

- You need a flexible approach with the willingness to commence work at short notice as business demand often changes

- This is a highly manual dexterous role and you will demonstrate these skills

- You will have a proactive and hardworking attitude as you will hit the ground running

- You can demonstrate good listening skills and be able to follow instructions

- It would be advantageous if you have your own transport or live in the local area

- You will need to be physically fit to do this role
