• Collaborating with subject matter experts to write, review, condense, and edit all technical documents produced by Jacksonville Districts Planning and Policy Division for external distribution.
• Reviewing and editing all documents from technical team members and contributors for content, organization, accuracy, grammar, consistency, conciseness, literary quality, and format in accordance with Army regulations and professional standards.
• Ensuring that documents contain effective visual aids (photos, drawings, tables, etc.) to adequately illustrate key ideas and topics, or to emphasize critical points.
• Provide technical writing and editing assistance across Planning and Policy Division to improve overall quality and consistency of deliverable products.
• Exploring a broad range of resources including library research, interviews with subject-matter experts, and team meetings to obtain, analyze, and verify information, manages records, files, and Contracting Officer Representative files.

Responsibilities include

• Manage the production of written input and advise on content

• Check the quality, relevancy and consistency of responses in terms of client focus, themes, messages, key phrases and key words
• Establish lines of communication with subject matter experts to ensure access to accurate and up to date company information
• Arrange Red Review dates/deadlines with accountable Reviewer for critical assessment of proposals
• Maintain database/library of stock answers

The roles can vary and you could be tasked with furniture removalist work, cleaning, general maintenance, waiting and light general labouring for the hospitality sector. For this exciting role you must have a good level of physical fitness, as you are often on your feet and active for the majority of your shift.

Requirements:

You will be required to work an average of 30 hours per week.

You will be paid either under the Hospitality Industry (General) Award [MA000009], the Amusement, Events and Recreation Award [MA000080], General Retail Industry Award [MA000004] or the Restaurant Industry Award [MA000119] or Registered and Licensed Clubs Award [MA000058].

- The work will range in pay from an ordinary rate of Level 1 $23/hr up to $35+/hr
- Working hours will vary from anywhere from 6am to 11pm, 7 days per week.
- Overtime rates will be paid where applicable
- Upskilling & additional allowances may also be paid if you were trained in extra tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
• Edit raw footage into polished, high-quality content, maintaining visual continuity and narrative cohesion.
• Work closely with directors, producers, and other creative team members to ensure edits align with the project’s vision and objectives.
• Shape compelling narrative, emphasising the education and impactful elements of the content.

About You:
• At least 2 years of experience as a film/video editor, with a strong portfolio of work.
• Relevant qualification related to Filmmaking or Editing
• Proficiency in industry-standard editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Avid Media Composer)
• A keen eye for detail and visual storytelling, with a particular focus on natural history or documentary style content.
• Experience in editing long-form content such as giant screen feature or television series is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to take feedback and work effective with a creative team.
