Serves as an engineer within the Federal Aviation Administration. In this capacity, directly participates in and is responsible for planning, developing, reviewing, and evaluating major aviation safety research initiatives. Uses professional engineering principles on a wide variety of research efforts that lead to a safe, efficient, and cost-effective National Airspace System (NAS) through the research & development of innovative aviation technologies.

Participates and contributes to an interdisciplinary team of technical experts to develop, test, evaluate, and/or implement aircraft systems and/or components that impact the NAS. Represents the organizational unit at various seminar, committee, user group panel, and conference meetings at intraagency, interagency, aviation industry, and national levels.

Coordinates and provides technical guidance to managers and sponsors. Identifies existing or potential problems. Assists in defining requirements, proposes alternatives, and coordinates solutions with sponsors. Provides periodic status reports to supervisors. Identifies existing/potential problems which may impact on established or proposed plans, identifies alternatives, and provides recommendations. Conducts administrative or on-site comprehensive reviews of existing or proposed projects; verifies cost estimates with managers throughout the FAA. Provides guidance to lower-level staff to solve difficult technical issues. Resolves all but unique technical problems without the intervention of management or a more experienced engineer. Identifies and informs management of problems that require their attention. Often develops and recommends techniques to address problem situations.

Defines, plans, and organizes assigned resources to accomplish organizational objectives. Allocates resources to accomplish small work activities within established schedules.

• Serves as a General Engineer developmental intern within DCMA.
• Completes classroom and on-the-job training to acquire, exercise, and maintain knowledge of the duties inherent in the performance of professional general engineering duties.
• Performs general engineering duties in support of a senior engineer who is responsible for two or more engineering functions, in connection with assigned products, processes, components, or systems.
• In a developmental capacity, all DCMA Keystone engineers will engage in multi-functional teams to perform advanced predictive analysis, develop or assist in the development and communication of engineering findings and recommendations.
• Provides technical consultation to stakeholders, customers, all Contract Management Team (CMT) members.

Your new role

Job Responsibilities

• Support Senior Librarian of Reference & User Services in managing daily customer operations, maintenance of library facilities/spaces and services to users (staff and public) in line with standards, policy and procedure.
• Oversee and manage the library’s circulation and information/enquiry services, including monitoring service delivery (across different channels) by staff, roster planning, manning of circulation counter, processing of loan and membership transactions, handling advisory/information enquiries, and troubleshooting issues related to common library equipment/services.
• Manage and maintain user data in the Library Management System. Manage and keep up to date the relevant SOPs and documentation for library services.

• Responsible to collect, analyse and produce regular written and statistical reports on the library collection, facilities & services for management. Analyse satisfaction/usage trends to ensure the library collection, resources and policies are developed to meet users’ needs.

• Promote library collection and services through curated book displays, subject guides, tours and events. Develop training kit/handbook/materials and conduct staff and public user education/ induction.

Requirements:

• At least three years of relevant library work experience, particularly in academic or special library environments.
• Possess strong customer service and communication skills.Meticulous, organised, and independent self-starter who possess critical thinking skills.
• Team player willing to co-operate and share. Possess good interpersonal, administrative and supervisory skills.
• Willing to learn, able to multi-task and complete tasks with tight deadlines independently; possess good time management.

• Familiarity with graphic design software and tools.
