About The Role
EKFB is a joint venture that brings together international, market leading expertise from four leading civil engineering and construction companies: Eiffage, Kier, Ferrovial Construction and BAM Nuttall. All four partners have specialist expertise in the design, construction, operation, financing and maintenance of railway networks, including the construction of one of Europe’s latest high speed rail projects.
EKFB are looking for a General Foreman to join the team at the Chipping Warden (G2S) section of works. This position will ensure the delivery of the section safely, within budget and non-conformance free. You will be responsible for scheduling, coordinating and supervising the works, managing and mentoring a team that will supervise the work of all site operatives.
You will lead by example, managing a team of Foremen / Supervisors across a section / discipline of Work, providing mentoring, experience sharing and direction to the team. You will implement the EKFB policies and procedures together with the legal regulations/requirements paying specific attention to the SHEQ legislation. You will also carry out and record site inspections.
You will ensure all works are carried out in line with approved method statements, including giving inductions and effective toolbox talks, daily task briefings and point of work assessments to Site Operatives. You will also ensure all site personnel have job relevant training requirements which is recorded and monitored on a regular basis.
You will order and manage hired/internal equipment daily and co-ordinate delivery /pick up of materials as required. You will also proactively drive progress of the works, challenging methods to maximise progress and minimise costs. You will schedule, co-ordinate and supervise the daily activities of Site Operatives and ensure the production of daily documents daily work production with the use for example site diaries, allocation sheets and requisitions.
About The Candidate
- Extensive experience working on site & on large multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects with proven track record with delivery of such scheme and supervisory experience of labour, plant, materials and sub-contractors
- Experiences of working on Structures
- Excellent communication, organisational, planning, time and team management skills
- CSCS supervisor card
- SMSTS qualification
- CPCS qualification
- You must hold a driving license to be considered for this role
- Desired: First aid Training, Environmental awareness, NRSWA supervisor
