• Provides education, training, and EFM legal outreach. Serves as the DAF's subject matter expert and instructor on the interpretation of laws, regulations, and administrative policies related to education law and pertinent to EFM clients.
• Provides field support and legal assistance counsel in complex and/or high visibility cases. Provides AF-wide direction, guidance, and seasoned legal assistance counsel to base-level military and civilian attorneys on legal issues affecting EFM families.

The primary purpose of this position is to serves as a senior non-supervisory engineer for the Civil Engineer Division, Air Force Installation and Mission Support Center (AFIMSC) Detachment 6 in support of MAJCOM Strategic and Non-Strategic basing and beddown processes and associated Site Activation Task Forces (SATAFs).

• Executes projects for substantial new construction, renovations, and improvements for real property facilities, encompassing highly specialized or unique requirements, in accordance with all DoD, Air Force, laws and regulations.
• Collaborates with engineers, scientists, and other expert personnel at federal agencies, higher headquarters (HQ USAF, AF MAJCOMs, and FOAs) installation organizations, and other military services, and private organizations to ensure effective identification, evaluation, and provide a unique solution to complex engineering project management issues.

As a General Engineer/Physical Scientist (Senior Program Manager), you will:

• The incumbent must manage a large number, of projects involving NNSA sponsored programs performed at SNL, most of which are multi-year research and development projects revolving around state-of-the-art technology.
• Manages funding resources in the implementation and execution of specific national security projects in full accordance with allocations provided in the Approved Funding Program.
• Conducts analyses to forecast project over runs/under runs in program/project obligations and costs, and requests reallocation of funds or supplemental appropriations as necessary.
